Prom

I'm going with my friends and we're all chipping in to rent a limo for a few hours and we're going out to eat afterwards and then somewhere to take photos I think.

But it's gonna be hella expensive because the ticket is gonna be $55 and then the limo is gonna be $55 each and then we're going to a fancy restaurant and I dunno how I'm gonna afford this but I will.

Senior prom and dance ticket was $110 and I've spent $200 on my dress.
I went with my friends and boyfriend. It was alright...

This was my dress from last year (I'm the one in the purple):

Beautiful dress! Dang, girl!
I bought mine, but I don't have any pics yet. To be continued...

I was super broke all through out my life and in school I got asked by one person who was basically stalking me and asking me out since forever to junior prom so I didn't go. And then my senior year I was forced to uproot when I had a possible date and was hoping to go to my prom at my old school and moved hours away from my school and forced to go to another high school where I knew nobody, so I didn't go on Senior Trip, I didn't buy a yearbook (although my photography teacher bought me one cause she loved me), and I didn't even bother walking the stage for graduation because I didn't even care at that point. Not that I would have had the money to afford prom anyways, but I could have pulled something together if it mattered...

In Australia we call it a formal. I looked forward to it since middle school and it ended up being a fun night but not everything I dreamed it would be. That was 5 years ago now... Now I feel old, haha.

I did get a really nice dress though and quite cheap as well. I went overseas on exchange the summer before my final year at school and I managed to find a dress over there. It was the first one I tried on funnily enough.

I think prom is totally overhyped to be honest. Here in Canada it's not as big a deal as in the states but it's still pretty big. I was promposed to a few weeks ago by a good friend I've known for five or so years, so I'm looking forward to going with him :)

I am back from Prom weekend everyone!
My final verdict on Prom is that it is way more fun than Homecoming for sure but it is not worth the price of admission. If you can get some kind of discount, you should definitely go! <:
Here's some prom stuff you might want:

At my school we have middle school prom. Last year, everyone went in groups, no couples. This year, everyomes asking each other out, including my closest friends, and I'm forever alone. xD </3 Ohwell, going anyways!

My prom was this Monday; and I spent a good amount on my dress. I could say that spending that much money wasn't really worth it. But it was just to be with friends and the babe, yup.
