I decided to make a thread out of other forums, because I feel this is the most civilized forum out of the others I have signed up to.
Anyway, I really don't feel this is fair for anything whatsoever. Rules with online gaming is very different from laws in real life. Most laws in real life help protect the copyright, the welfare of others etc. When people break real life laws, they can put themselves and/or other people at risk or even kill. When you break laws in real life, you go to jail, prison, or even be sentenced to death depending on the severity.
With online gaming, breaking rules won't do anything to you. The worst that can happen is that you get your inbox flooded with warnings or you get temp/permabanned, which really doesn't affect you in any way.
As far as other people goes, the only thing breaking rules can possibly do is tick someone off, hurt their feelings. But even then, either one is a rarity, especially the second, and these usually become almost nonexistent if people are constantly doing it and nothing is being enforced or it is just getting too out of hand to handle.
With that being, rules when it comes to stuff like online gaming won't really stop people from doing it because it won't affect them in any way unlike real life. The only thing that can be done is "enforcement" with stuff like the mods here and admins, but that still doesn't mean it won't happen or the person won't try to strike because there isn't any real penalties like law fines or jail in the online gaming world, only bans that can be bypassed with sockpuppets/alt accounts and proxies. This could also apply to the internet period.
The only thing that can possibly get you in trouble in real life is cyberbullying and hacking. And even then, nobody can really verify who the person is, unless they have quite a bit of their personal information online.
However, that doesn't mean I think there should be no rules when it comes to online gaming or the internet in general, there is a difference between laws in real life and rules on the internet.
Anyway, back to online gaming.
I don't know what camping is, but I can somewhat decipher what it is from the name and it seems like when people hide in places to farm and/or go for people passing by.
I feel that if a person isn't abusing glitches or hacking servers, it really shouldn't be against the rules. Like, those are right, they are did just spend their well earned cash on your game and they are the reason you are getting any success out of the game period. Like I said, as long as it isn't something like hacking or glitch abuse, they should be able to do whatever they want. All they are doing is using the way the works to their advantage which is completely different since that's the way the game was made. In a nutshell, if your rule is something a little kid could easily just come up with while playing with his freinds "offline" and it has nothing to do with glitch abuse or hacking it shouldn't be against the rules in my opinion.
However, I do have something to say about this. People abusing glitches shouldn't be banned because they are using things that wrong with "YOUR" game to "THEIR OWN" advantage. If YOU have a problem with it, get up and start making a patch for it! It is YOUR fault as a DEVELOPER for anything TECHNICAL like that going on THOSE severs. The players doing it, the victims and even the mods and admins are not responsible for stuff like that, YOU are!
This also applies to strategies you don't like people using. If you have a problem with it, get yourself up and patch the game! YOU are the one who the designed the game in a way that the strategy could even be possible. If YOU have a problem with it, patch the game so the strategy isn't possible offline or online.
Another thing, I'm not trying to bash Microsoft or anything (I would say this for any company), but that tweet that microsoft put on twitter on their Xbox page is very ignorant, arrogant, careless, immature and unprofessional and if they that type of language and mentality up on their page or display it outside of that, it might really scandalize the way they are viewed as a company by their fans and outside of gaming.

Post to Gamefaqs: Oh heck no! That is full of nothing but trolls, cyberclowns and only a few nice, sensible people. Not to mention that is the forum I have had the most and worst experiences ever.
Post to Mario Boards: Um... no! I've already had several bad experiences with voicing my opinions there.
