Problems with unoriginal/scanned villagers

My amiibo card villagers always ping and ask for favours.. They don't behave any different from non-scanned villagers, in my experience anyway. Maybe you guys just aren't talking to them enough. All animals start off by giving boring tutorial dialogue. You have to keep talking to them for them to start actually talking about things. But even scanned in villagers I don't have a friendship with ping me.

I have scanned Julian, Beau, Fuchsia, Tom, Whitney, and Pekoe and with the exception of Whitney who I just moved in to try to clear a house space so I don't really talk to her... the rest ping me all the time. Tasks, random nonsense, time capsules, bugs I will never ever catch them, hide and seek, ect. Beau in particular has a habit of sending me letters. They don't act any different than my 'natural' villagers.

All my villagers are scanned in ('cept bluebear) and I don't notice any difference between them. I'd try, like others suggested, try a little bit more to befriend them.

There's definitely no difference with scanned villagers. Except that they don't ask to move out as often which is awesome.

Yeah I haven't seen a difference. I recently scanned in Chai, have only talked to her maybe a dozen times and she's already asked me for a few favors. Maybe you're just having bad luck?

Well, judging from all the answers here, probability seems to be as up in the air with scanned villagers as with original. I remember playing pre-update, some villagers asked for a lot and others barely asked for anything. So far my only scanned villager is W. Link and he's pinged me a few times, and I haven't had him for too long so far, maybe a few weeks
