So I've noticed a major difference between villagers you can scan and get them to move in on demand and original villagers who just move to your town or you ask to move in from the campsite. Unoriginal/scanned villagers don't really ask you to do little jobs for them or talk to you about things, they send letters but mostly saying the same ol boring things without presents (even when you write a big letter with a present attached) and because of this...you don't get to form a bond with them :l can anyone tell me why there is such a difference between original and unoriginal/scanned villagers? Please T^T

Yes I've noticed this too. It's kinda sad. I was really happy to get Maddie (my daughters nickname) in my first amiibo pack ever. She is really cute and I love her house, but I don't enjoy talking to her. She just gives me tips on how to do things in the game or the same general statements.

I honestly haven't noticed a difference. My villagers still ping and ask for favors and their almost all from cards. :/ Are you interacting with them enough?

Makes me reluctant in using Medli and W.Link against everyone... Well the Starter Villagers of course.
Don't know what I'll do if they don't ping, I can't really do much since I only have the Amiibos required for them. :p
Finally, I think it kinda ruins the purpose of the game... but I still can't resist the urge to do so.

aww that really sucks :( I got Ellie and Flurry to move in because they're my dreamies but they're just so dead ;--; like robots

That's odd ;-; mine never ping :'( and yep I talk to them everyday and keep going up to them to see if they have a job for me to do or something but they just don't interact with me

Odd, Stitches seems to behave similarly to how he would if he were original.
Cookie will probably need observation, but Rosie behaved just like when I got her in my first town.

Infact, whenever I successfully get both Stitches and Marshal, the game goes to some weird, odd things.
All villagers say different things everytime.
Must be VERY lucky. :p

That is weird.. I wonder if WA are any different than regular scanned in villagers. Oddly enough, a WA that I got from someone else's town does ping and talk to me, and even asked to move out. I make it a point though when I move in an a amiibo villager, I kick another one out. So I only have 3 amiibo and the rest are... natural? What are they called? Haha

This thread is making me want to delete my town.
But... maybe I haven't played enough...

Oh good to know some people are feeling this way. I'm way behind and juts recent;y updated after taking some time off, and I was really struggling with weather to use the cards for any villagers but have so far resisted. Guess I'll keep it up haha

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one too haha XD and...ahhh Menma T^T

Really? That's so sad. I haven't tried it yet, but hearing that, it really puts me off the idea of using my cards.

I don't see any difference, specifically in my second town. All my villagers there came from scanning welcome amiibo. They interact with me the same way how my old villagers do in my first town. If anything, it is me who has changed and rarely do favors xD I only give perfect fruits and accept visits (I don't want to ruin their interior).

Maybe you just haven't had them long enough, or you haven't interacted with them enough? I have never moved in any villagers using cards, but in the past I have had times where I had trouble connecting to 'normal' villagers. Purrl and Tom used to live in my town once and no matter how hard I tried they just weren't the same as my other villagers. I just didn't feel connected to them no matter what. And when I got Rosie back in my town after losing her accidentally, I had trouble connecting with her for a while. She just didn't feel the same for a while, and I'm just now starting to feel normal with her.

I hope the same happens to me :( I really love Flurry and Ellie and I was looking forward to forming a strong friendship

Hm maybe it could be that subconsciously we don't try as hard with the scanned in villagers because we know we can't lose them? Haha :p

I know for sure Etoile and Julian has hassled me for stuff before, like the random pings when you're carrying something and they want it. All of my other villagers do the same, I know one of them gave me the tire toy the other day, so I mean they're still doing their thangs. Not sure why they wouldn't for some people.. -_-

Pretty sure that adopted villagers are like "original" villagers.
Stitches asks for requests once every 2 hours...

That's strange, Viche, Cece, Tasha, Mint, Poppy, Marshal, Ribbot, Toby, Wolfgang and Hamlet aren't doing that type of stuff with me and I scan amiibos for them. (I had Mint, Poppy, Marshal and Hamlet as random move ins before, but I moved them out to relocate their houses. lol)

And I adopted Sylvana and Claude from other people on this site and I don't have problems with them either.

Claude just ping me and told me was was going to move.

Not going to happen buddy!

I don't see any difference with the scanned villagers. Felyne asks me to deliver items all the time, even asks me to hang at my house and his. Same with my scanned Bluebear, Chester, and others. I think you have to start building up your friendship level or you won't get anywhere with them.

...I haven't noticed a difference at all. Skye formed a bond with me right away, and she's not shy about asking for favors at all. Neither are Diana or bruce.
