Problem with my campsite ?

Hello!


I have a problem : I started a new town a few months ago. The campsite was one of the first pwp I built, I used to play every day for weeks - now a bit less regularly but still -, and I absolutely NEVER had anyone inside.
Has anyone experienced this ? At first I thought I was just unlucky, but after a few weeks I am seriously starting to think that there is a real problem/bug. Could it be because I have too many trees around?
I had several towns before and this never happened to me, so if you have any idea/advice it would be great, I miss having campers... ><

i don't believe trees have anything to do with it, but is your game the most updated version? i think a while back someone made a post about how they seemed to not get campers as much after they updated their game, so i don't think it's a glitch per se, but possibly something that just sadly happened after the game updated itself to include amiibo cards maybe? the campsite would just get less campers or something like that

(i could totally be wrong though, i haven't really played much recently to know for sure myself but i never got many campers at the campsite to begin with)

My game and my 3DS are supposed to be fully updated, so maybe it's that yes... I am just scared that I may never have any campers, I never had that many to begin with either but it never happened to me to not see one in weeks/months. :/

have you ever tried the camper reset trick by any chance? you basically just need to create a new character and get to the point where you arrive in town, then go and check to see if there's a camper in your campsite. if there isn't, exit the game without saving and repeat the same steps until there is one alternatively if there is a camper and if you like them, you can go ahead with settling the new character into your town and then load your mayor to ask them to move in! or keep resetting until there's a camper that you like

it might work with the new update, but i'm not totally sure since i haven't tried it personally

It might be bad luck. I only have the amiibo update not system but I've gotten some campers. I tend to get them if I time travel. When I don't I don't see any really.

I think the chances are just really small. I've played quite a bit since the update and I think I've maybe got 2 villagers in the campsite..so I don't think you've bugged it.

I've never had that many campers, and then sometimes a get a run of them. But overall its relatively low - especially if you are after it being filled, watched kettle & all that.

I haven't noticed a difference post update (& all my games are on 1.5 version of WA) - I still get the same amount of campers - the thing I haven't done is scan in villagers (well I've scanned in my first in one game, & its so recent I can't say yet if it has any effect on getting campers) nor have I scanned in a 2nd RV van very much.
Would scanning in villagers effect the campsite - it shouldn't but who knows.
All I can say is the update has not influenced campers appearing in my towns.

I've never really had really frequent campers - occasionally, there's been 3 different campers over 3 consecutive days, for example, but there doesn't seem to be a set pattern for getting campers.
Sometimes I'll go weeks without having any campers, then I'll have one and then a few days later have one, but I've never had like 2 a week or anything like that, so I don't think you've got a glitch, I think it's just the way the campers are in the game!

Hmm, i've never heard of this before. I know that getting a camper can be a rare occurrence from time to time as it doesn't always happen but I've never heard of anybody having no campers at all. I haven't experienced it personally, as I haven't built the campsite in the longest time, but perhaps try doing the campsite reset trick?

I've gone about two weeks in one of my towns without getting a single camper since the WA update...then in another town I had a different camper three days in a row. I don't know what the update did to the randomization of campers showing up. Perhaps it's intentional so people buy the amiibo cards to get villagers instead of using the campsite?
