Pretty Little Liars

I think it got better, tbh. The first season was the worst acting wise-they've all gotten better. The story got really complicated, but at this point, I'm too invested in it to stop watching.

I can understand that. I watched an episode over the summer at a friends house. It was intense, and I was interested.

There are some story lines where it's like, "Why?" because they're so unnecessary. None of my friends can stand the show and I always end up watching it by myself. And then something happens and I'm like, "Great now who can I complain to"

Most of my friends watch the same shows I do, so I guess I don't have that problem very often. Thank God for the internet, though.

I'm a fan. Although there are times where I'm like ???? because they tend to over complicate the plot sometimes.

I never watched it but I followed basically all of their commercials since I watch abc a lot for the movies. I always find myself thinking... How did they go from season 1 to now jail, conspiracy, etc etc. lol tv is too hard nowadays!

Yep! Starting watching it in season 1 then stopped for a while then picked it up when season 2 was airing on TV and caught up online. Now after going this far I'm in until it ends aha

I record them and make my boyfriend watch it with me every Wednesday after he gets out of work.

It never ends well. But I'm not gonna stop just because he makes fun of the plot. emot-colbert_zps5fa48561.gif

Seriously though, the plot's getting absolutely insane, but I'm too invested in it to stop watching now, too.
I started strong in season 1, never missed an episode.
Dropped it during season 2 and 3 -- watched most of those later on Netflix. I don't think I made it through all of them.
Started recording it on my DVR for seasons 4 and 5, watching routinely again.

I feel like I literally read a book with the middle chapters ripped out sometimes, but I feel like I'll be even MORE confused if I go back and try to watch those again now; knowing what I know now.
Augh.

i've watched it off and on... i haven't really watched this season as i lost interest but now that they made the announcement of "big A reveal" i'm kinda tempted. however they've been saying every finale reveals who A is lol

i've watched it since the beginning but the plot has gotten far too unrealistically complicated, it's impossible to keep up with and i find them referencing loose ends from like season 1 and i have to go back and find them because i can't remember them lol
also (SPOILER WARNING kind of???) they totally jumped the shark when they started introducing all the supernatural elements like mrs. grunwald and the whole ravenswood thing, it's so silly and dumb and it turned it from a thrilling who-dunnit mystery to some dumb magical show its lame af

also the progression of time is ridiculous, i started watching this when it came out (i was 14)when i was much younger than all the characters who were all 16/17, now i'm 19 and they're not even finished senior year yet it's like... u cant stay teen forever...

I do kinda agree with your first point, it is getting ridiculous. But I dunno, there's only 2 more seasons (since 7 was confirmed to be the ending, which is the norm anyway) and they're finally finishing their senior year now and making college plans.

It's not that crazy. S1 started June 2010, and S5 started June 2014.
4.5 years real time is not a ridiculously long time for teens in a TV show to stay teens. What's ridiculous are some of the actors/actresses they bring in. Most of the "misc. students" and even a lot of the important side characters look older than me. At least find people that look more like their late teens and earlier 20s. Instead of having all these "high school seniors" that look 25-30+. :v

i started watching during season 3, haven't watched the first two seasons but i've seen all the rest & most of the stuff they go through could easily be avoided but ok.

i've got nothing better to do with my life so i might as well keep watching
