Right, so. I've been slowly moving my villager's homes to the beach in preparation for designing my island... but I've ran into a huge issue. The issue?

I have VERY little workable space on my beach. My beach is VERY small, and I've only been able to squeeze in a measly 7 villager houses. I might be able to get in an eighth, but that still leaves 2 villager homes, my own player's home, and all three buildings without a spot on the beach. I know I won't be developing around the Resident Services building, but I would really like that area to not be crowded...

What the heck can I do?! Any suggestions?

Are you packing them as close to each other on the beach? If not, I would try and more some around until there’s no space to leave in between. I believe it’s 2 into that needs to be spaced out. Plan out the map also and design before hand. Once you have the design it’s easier to start placing them in land.

You can move most houses to the beach, so you'll still have some room for landscaping the areas you want. First, move the houses in the area you want to change, and when that area is finished, move those houses back, then, go to another area, move the houses in that area to the beach, rinse and repeat.

I find it's easier to do it this way.

I'm packing them as close as possible. My beach is just really 'short' in a lot of areas, and any 'large' areas on the beach just doesn't have a decent enough shape to fit many houses in. I've been working on a design already, its just frustrating not having enough space for everything. My old island was able to fit EVERY house and building without any issue.

I often like working in large sessions and often upwards of 3-4 acres done per day, coming back to them to add final touches to them as the days go on.

As I said above to the other person, its just frustrating lol.

Do you have an area you want to work on first? Like the front of your island? Move them to the area you want to landscape last, or an area that you don’t have any ideas for yet.

Haha, I think I got similar beaches to you. When I took in Bud, I wanted to give him a epic spot on the beach with all kinds of fun beach furniture. My spots were pretty limited and his home doesn't have too much space before the water, but I managed to deck out the area next to his home. I don't think I could move many to the beach at all, even finding a spot for my home when I was terraforming wasn't the easiest.

Sadly you might have to pick a spot on your island that either you got nothing planned or something already planned for and put some there. Like if you know you got this area for your farm or gardens (something that takes space), slam down people's homes where the crops would be for now since you know what will go there.

i had to keep two houses on land really close to the beach and work around it. working on where you want your villagers to be asap would be my advice!
