Powersaves 3DS

Has anyone else heard of/used a Powersaves 3DS? It's a thing that plugs into your computer, and you plug your 3DS cartridge into the adapter. Then you can choose to backup your save or add cheats to the cartridge. I would never, ever use it for cheating on New Leaf though.
I highly recommend it just for the save backup, it can really save your bacon when your New Leaf cartridge ever gets corrupted.

Could somebody please point me to where in the rules it says this? I don't recall seeing it when I read through the rules.

There's so many rules, lol. Can't talk about powersaves, can't talk about duping.

Personally I think we should be able to talk about it, just not participate in it.

I still don't see where it says that. All I can see is "no selling hacked or duplicated items" neither of which I was doing. It's not my fault if somebody decides to use this device the wrong way. I only recommended it for backing up your game.

I see. It doesn't mention cheating devices though.
I don't think that fits under 'hacking information' but it might fit under 'harmful computer software' if used incorrectly.
I guess you guys are right. Sorry for making the thread. I didn't think I was causing any harm but oh well.

I understand that you're weren't trying to cause any harm or anything like that. The rule is the rule. I'm against Power Save or any cheating devices. Anyways, good day.

I'm actually surprised a mod hasn't come and locked it yet, if the subject is so taboo to talk about.
As mentioned before, I don't use Powersaves for anything else other than to make sure I don't lose my town. I don't even have another 3DS or New Leaf copy.

You guys are acting like they just curb-stomped a puppy. They clearly expressed that they only used it for convenience as a data backup. Don't make it into a big deal if this only affects their game. I'm pretty sure discussion isn't taboo here, and OP wasn't exactly trying to "brainwash" you into using powersaves. Sheeeesh.

I'm pretty sure if this hasn't been locked yet, it's probably fine. At least, I hope so.
I mean, it's up to people what they decide to do with this device. It's main feature is backing up saves, hence the name "Powersaves", but it's people's choice whether they decide to use the cheats.
I've heard of people using it for Pokemon and New Leaf item duplicating but I think that takes all the fun out of the game.
