Potential Villagers at the island?!

Usually I recall there always being a different villager at the island but right now I'm there and I dont see anyone... wondering what's up with that and when should I expect to see villagers and expect not too if anyone knows? Maybe theyre just hiding.. . Idunno

But anyways last night I told alice to come to my island before building the three homes and she became the third one and I then got pate and bob also other then them I have... pashmina and a squirrel.....

Well I only have five house now... what about the other five houses for villagers???

even if you have 5 houses, you still need to have a plot placed. after you build your campsite and get the villager from there, you will have the option to place down new plots of land by talking to tom nook.

You built your campsite, right?

Once your campsite is built and you get your first villager, Nook will prompt you to make a plot for them. You HAVE to invite the first camper that comes to your island. Once you do that, you'll be able to build the remaining 4 plots whenever you'd like!

If you haven't built your campsite yet, you will get the option once the Resident Services tent turns into an actual building.

I haven't gotten the campsite yet.. but I'm still confused as too when the villagers will shop up again back at the island that I use the plane to go too... so that I can invite them to live on my island from there... or can I only use the camp site from now on?

After you make the campsite and invite your first villager on it (which happens after you build the town hall) you can build plots and begin to see islanders again on the nook mile island tours.
