Potential Glitch: Same DIY Recipe from Same Villager

First off I'm new and created this account mainly to report this as I couldn't find similar experiences online. Sorry if this is not the correct spot for this. Let me know if not and I will move this appropriately.

Little over a week ago a villager (95% sure it was Del) was crafting and I received the DIY recipe for "Pile of Zen Cushions." New recipe, yay! Moved on without much thought. Couple days later Del was crafting and I got the same recipe. I remember thinking to myself then, "didn't Del give this to me last time?" But wasn't 100% sure. Didn't think much off it, dupes happen. Gave the recipe to my wife and moved on. Then on May 17th I received the same recipe, again from Del. Took a pic and noted it this time. Then again on May 20th the same thing happens. Del and a pile of zen cushions. I've not noticed any other repeats like this from any of my other villagers. I've not seen Del crafting any other time. It seems to be stuck that every time Del is inside crafting, its a pile of zen cushions. I've never time traveled. Del was invited in through amiibo (he's my all time favorite). Can't think of much else to note. Has anyone else experienced this or know why this is happening? Could it really be just bad luck isolated to one character? If not should I report this to Nintendo?

Oh wow, not the same thing but Goldie and marina were both crafting cutting boards in the same day so maybe check your other villagers

That's way too much of a coincidence to not be a bug. Very strange indeed. Otherwise, you have an entirely different problem on your hands. Del being obsessed with making cushions. He might need an intervention.\

I would report it. I wouldn't know how to get that across though.

On one hand, I like to imagine you just came across something incredibly statistically unlikely. Kind of like finding multiple shiny pokemon back to back.
On the other hand, there have been so many reported bugs with crafting that I'm not even surprised anymore. The only way I can think of to fix this would be to kick Del and reinvite him, but that's a bit of a pain if you don't time travel.

On the other hand, there have been so many reported bugs with crafting that I'm not even surprised anymore. The only way I can think of to fix this would be to kick Del and reinvite him, but that's a bit of a pain if you don't time travel.

Well, yea, this game is incredibly buggy, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's 'crappy', or that there's nothing to do.
While New Horizons has its legitimate criticisms (lack of furniture, annoying UI, etc), the QA testing period of this game most likely occured over Christmas/NY and Jan/Feb, which is when COVID-19 started hitting parts of Asia pretty hard, so the employees deserve a bit of leeway in my opinion.

I've had the same issue with Raymond. I've gotten 6 golden candlesticks from him in a row. I even TTed to another day a few days ahead after the third, got it again, went back to the correct day and still got it another two times. Then a few days he wasn't crafting and the next time he crafted it was something different. It was really weird, and I never had the problem with any other villager.

Glad to know I'm not alone and that it eventually went away.

I'll keep an eye on it and report any changes to Del's obsessive cushion stacks. The worst part of this is I can't even make the recipe yet without the regular zen cushion. lol

Well today Del started crafting a Deer Scare so I believe things are good now. Don't know if it was just coincidence or if the update had anything to do with it.

It's totally random. My experience with Muffy is interesting. She kept giving me wooden-block table recipes every week. I got about three of them at the moment.
