possible problem transfering info from one ds to another?

i'm buying the NL 3DS XL and currently have a regular 3DS. from what i understand, when you do a system transfer from one DS to another, the receiving DS will lose everything installed and therefore i would lose the pre-installed NL game. so. i have my e-shop info, and my stars catalogue info in my old 3DS. i want them in my new one. does anyone know if you can just simply delete the info from the old 3DS and type it into the 3DS XL or is the info locked to a DS and therefore unusable in the new 3DS XL.

i really hope this makes some kind of sense.

The eShop data is only useable on the 3DS it was installed on. It's possible to connect your Club Nintendo account on your new system, but you'll have to pay for previously bought software. If you want your current e-Shop data on your new 3DS, you'll have to do a transfer.
