Possible Glitch? re check inside-

Have you ever gifted a villager an item, or gave them the item they requested and when you entered their house they had multiples of it all of a sudden?

I gave Reneigh one umbrella- she has laying around? O_O
Caught a bee for Megan on request she has two apparently i checked today to see where she'd put the bug and theres two by her bed.
Gifted Raymond a pants press for something for his home and he has two of them.

Curious have any of you noticed the same thing or something close? I do notice they change their furniture daily -well Judy moves around her pet Jellyfish.

It feels chaotic i swear.

Yup. It happens. I don't know if it means there are two in the storage or just one. This has been around pre 1.3.X.

Code wise, I have an idea on why this bug happens but I have no idea on how to fix it in game.

Yeah, I've had this happen to me. I think this happens when they place a gift and they have multiple open spots and so it doubles and goes into both spots.

Actually. I have an idea on how to fix it but it requires you gifting your villagers more stuff to display in their house. I would test it on mine but none of my cycling ones have the right house layout.

I might have. Roald asked for the miyama stag I caught and I gave it to him. Next day he had it displayed in his house with a tiger butterfly in a cage on top of it. I did not give him the tiger butterfly.

i have been gifting them other stuff that matches their homes a bit and hoping tomorrow maybe it'll fix itself

I reckon they made it that way on purpose, to have a laugh at those of us that accidently delivered the suit of lights to a villager. >..<
