I've been wanting to ask this for a few days, just haven't gotten around to it til now.

So a few days ago I went and bought a box of pop-tarts (specifically the cookie dough one, my favorite) and it made me remember how much I hate eating the crust part. I have to pick the crust off the sides before I can eat the rest. I think maybe if they put icing all over the top then I would eat the whole thing, but the crust as it is now is literally just a bland/plain cookie so I always take it off.

here's a photo of what I mean:

does anyone else do this?

I do that, and I thought I was the only one. I toss the sides. My favorite flavor is the brown sugar cinnamon. I love cinnamon things.

I've never tried one.

I've seen them in shops that import goods from the US, but I'm not that into sweet foods so have never been tempted.

I eat the crust but I try to make sure to at least get some of the filling in every bite. I eat all of the crust first and save the middle, the best part, for last.

I go back and forth between both eating it and breaking it off. If the frosting job is terrible and there is a ton of crust, I'll break it off. If not, I'll eat it, but i definitely eat around the middle (so, crust first) then eat the middle last.. I've actually had a good streak with them lately, so I've been eating all the crust.

Which one is your favorite? I'm in camp brown sugar cinnamon. 😍

I eat the crust first so I can enjoy the middle last all by itself (save the best for last) :)

my favorites are the fudge ones and the wild berry ones.

I haven't had a Pop-Tart in years, but I remember I'd always eat the crust. I'd probably eat the crust if I was to have one now too, though I'd have it first and save the middle for last.

Didn't realize ripping off the edges was common! This is the first time I've seen this.

Never did it as a child and still don't (I only buy a box once per year, if that). I'd always break it in half and eat each side fully. The crust has never bothered me - eat the crust on bread too. 🙌

First bite usually involves crust, but after that, I tend to avoid them. If the last bite is nothing but crust, I just throw it away. I never go out of my way to remove the crust first though.

I just eat mine like "normal" (for lack of a better word. I don't take anything off. Throwing out the crust seems wasteful, imo.

I feel embarrassed as I have never had a pop tart 🥺 just never thought about buying them. As a kid I was addicted to chocolate spread which is also very healthy 😂. Ok I’m putting pop tarts on my shopping list 😆

I eat the crust. I don't find it horrible enough to bother making a mess with. Plus the majority of the time, I'm just taking bites, holding it in my hand.

I eat the crust always, but depending on the flavor it can be reluctantly, like on some of the fruit flavors the crust just tastes so dry and nasty. It isn't enough for me to cut it off though

Crusts OFF. It's too dry and plain to eat, no matter what flavour of poptart. I've tried eating it with the filling or icing but there's never enough to compensate how dry the crusts are.

I always have eaten the crust. If I want something like that, I usually pick up some frozen thing like toaster strudels from the freezer instead. The cookies and crème pop tarts are pretty good though.
