I've seen the Instrument Shelter in my list of PWP but I don't remember ever seeing one in someone's town - even in DAs. I was wondering if anyone has one & if they actually find it helpful. If I remember correctly from googling it I think it's supposed to tell you what the weather will be for the next hour. I think that would be handy if you're hoping for rain for a specific bug or snow to build snow people. I'd love to hear your experiences with the Instrument Shelter. Thanks!

I had it in one of my towns, but as far as I am concerned, it served no purpose other than just standing there, lol. It didn't tell me anything the sky couldn't: cloudy, maybe rain: clear, no rain :)

I have one in my town. It looks a bit like a beehive and it only takes up one space.

I placed it between some trees in front of my train station so no one could plot there.

I have had a similar experience to Dorian in that I've never found it to be particularly useful. Honestly, the only reason I really added it was because I like to imagine the resident who has the Instrument Shelter next to their house in my town (Cobb) is a mad scientist so it would make sense for him to have use for it.

Unless you like the look of it, there doesn't seem to be a real practical point, which would probably explain why you've never seen one before. Then again, I've never really "hoped" for any particular weather condition enough to check mine regularly, so who knows, your mileage may vary. If you like the look, have a good spot, and want to give it a shot, I'd say you might as well go for it.

Poncho requested it recently and I had wanted it after seeing it while visiting DAs. For me i'd say that its pretty handy because i like to know what the weather is going to be like in the game each day. Mine is placed a few places away from my town hall and i check it occasionally mostly depends on your specfic prefrence.

I had one in my town for a period of time but I tore it down whilst remodelling. However, I think I’m going to put it back up. I kinda like it and it fits in with my little rustic villagey theme. It only takes up one space and it isn’t the expensive if I remember right.

I have one in Sundance. It's a little bee house, cute and if you place a beehive in front of it on the floor and place some yellow and black flowers around, it'd surely turn into a sweet spot :p

i like it! i use it when i want the weather to change and i can see if it is going to. i like when it tells me that the weather will change! i like the bee idea with the beehive...... that's awesome!!!

Thank you all for replying! It sounds like it's look is more useful than it's weather function. lol! My town is mostly zen so the beehive idea might work but I'm still not sold on adding the instrument shelter. I think I'll see if I have a place that it might look really good in and then decide. Thanks again for all of your help!

I like its function in the game. I never really thought the appearance of the instrument shelter so I got a tad bit confused when people said it looks like a beehive. Personally, placing it near lots of buildings and pwps fits well considering you can do just about anything in concentrated areas.

It does look like a bee hive. When I searched for dream towns with the name "Sherbet" i found one that had four of 'em and a beehive sign.

That sounds absolutely adorable!!

I'm really considering the "bee hive" idea for the instrument shelter. I think that would look cute & fit with the mostly zen feel of my town. Now to scout out the perfect spot.....
