Is that so? So you don't think for example that so many furnitures and different sets were cut out being the fundemental word for lacking? Then there's the sad excuse of what is considered villager dialogue in this game. I think this in particular, the dialogue, is New Horizons worst quality compared to the rest in terms of what many considered the heart of Animal Crossing.
Nope, I sure don't. I feel like the addition of crafting, along with the multitude of customization options within the crafting mechanism, have more than made up for whatever is "clearly lacking" from previous iterations of the game. And as far as dialogue is concerned, that's never been a main attraction for me, so I (emphasis on "I") don't see anything lacking on that front.

Well, you can't win them all...

I guess we all play Animal Crossing for different reasons :)

i really have no idea about the games before NH, but i've seen so many people talk about a coffee shop of sorts, and some other things, that i would just die to have in NH. i'm obsessed with coffee, so my little island rep gettting to run around with a coffee in her hands would be the best thing to ever happen to me in this game yeah i know, it doesn't take much to make me happeh. i would love to be able to have food items, too; maybe to cook? i don't know, bit of a stretch probably, and starting to cross over a line to start melding AC with other games like stardew valley, etc., but i would really love a feature like that.

how amazing would it be to cook shari something and give it to her? then she can stop trying to use me as a recipe tester.

on a side note, things like furniture sets and new dialogue or interactions with your villagers would be amazing as well. the ability to hang things on cliff walls would also be amazing, but i highly doubt that will ever become a thing.

was it ever possible for villagers to come call upon you for something, the way we go to their house? i think i've seen something about that in later games - a feature that let Lobo come say hi when i'm bootin' around my house would be amazing.
Haha yes, we could run around with takeaway coffee in New Leaf, and even before those games you could book dates with your villagers to meet them at their house a certain hour, or yours. There wasn't much to do once they did, but it was nice. Also playing hide and seek and critizing their clothes. Good times.

Speaking of the “Add more events per month” section, anybody remember Yay Day in Wild World? Little things with simple dialogue like that were super fun in my opinion.

I honestly really just want the lengthy and repetitive dialogue prompts for NPCs fixed - not the villagers, but Tom Nook and Orville specifically. It's absolutely ridiculous that if you accidentally pick the wrong option in the dialogue tree, your only course of action is to end the entire conversation instead of sending you a step backward so you can reselect the correct choice (when it comes to what infrastructure stuff you want to do or don't want to do, etc etc). And for Orville, there's just too much talking going on. It would be so much easier and more streamlined if he were to be like "Here, fill out this form" (he does mention paperwork!) and you just select all the options all at once - here's one form for local play and one for the rest, or something like that, and you tick off whether you're using a Nook Mile Ticket or not. The way the dialogue for these two NPCs was implemented is obnoxious and needs to be changed but sadly I don't really see it happening, even if they did make some edits to Saharrah.

I voted for more events per month (because I want new furniture/DIYs super badly) and more furniture, clothes, and hairstyles. If I had a third vote I would choose new game play just because that would always be interesting too. But for me at this point, the #1 important thing is new furniture.

Villager dialogue, definitely.

The villagers presence on my island is very weak!
The treasure hunt comes once in a blue moon, and once you hit max friendship level w/the villagers pretty much every time they approach you, they either want to sell you something, trade something, buy something, or give you something.

I hate every time they talk about so and so who came to my island; I have random people from Nookazon and other sites coming to my island all the time so this especially is a pointless dialogue.

I don't know.
We need some more activities and games!
I feel like they focused so much on the beautiful game graphics and the designing part and totally overlooked villager interactions.

this is my first animal crossing game, but i have watched so many videos and read so much about how much harder it used to be to befriend villagers and how they used to give you more tasks and stuff, and i'd love to see a return to form in that regard, as unlikely as i think it actually is. more dialogue, more activities with the villagers.

also, i desperately wish we could do bulk crafting.

Bulk crafting is what I seriously need right now.

Though, I do want to further expand on villager dialogue and interactions as well. I REALLY hope they add back more favors and tasks and stuff like in previous games, along with letting them visit OUR houses for a change.

I’m mostly interested in: 1st more furniture - orderable and non-orderable (i only like the seasonal sets and need better beds and customization options; like can i customize antique bed like i used to be able to and use able clothes for them and can i customize school desk to have the old wooden appearance like it had in HHD? 2nd in more and improved villager dialogue and interactions. 3rd in improving crafting (use mats from storage) and bulk buying at able’s. Miscellaneous improvements: storage also in dire need for storage for extra diys, rep able to interact with items and better interactions. Near the bottom: cooking. We don’t need it but i’d love it and to be able to eat and interact the food. the consumable food could give us buffs like increased swimming speed, undetectable by bugs when trying to catch them. There a chance to fail cooking and failures result in charred food that can be used as furniture. Different combinations of food can result in one recipe like 1 any fruit 2 ham 3 lettuce like in the sims 3; that was my favorite part of the sims was cooking and making nectar and the different combos. For collecting: books. I’d love there to be books to collect and old documents and they can be displayed individually as well as fill an empty bookshelf and still be interacted with.

I don’t want any more clothes until we get more storage; i use mostly qr designs. i’d like some more historical themed and cultural themed clothes though.

Oh goodness this was difficult, since I want so many. One thing I've been thinking about lately that should be an option with online play is the ability to kick one person off your island. If you have multiple people on your island and one is causing trouble, you shouldn't have to boot them all just because one is being a hooligan.

I want monthly events too, and I don't think it's too much to ask for. They can do weekly events for pocket camp, I don't see why they can't come up with something cute/fun for us to do each month in new horizons.

Villager dialogue and Isabelle dialogue needs an upgrade. I will personally write out 100 sentences for each villager to use and send to nintendo for free if they aren't willing to do the work, LOL.

these are all changes that i’m absolutely hoping for but if i had to prioritize, i’m eager for villager improvements and new furniture, clothes and hairstyles! i absolutely love the villagers and don’t mind their dialogue all that much in new horizons but i hate how they’ve started to feel more like decorations than neighbours; i can’t really complain about the repetitive dialogue as i’m willingly choosing to have multiples of a personality + repetition is honestly to be expected but i hate how hollow they still feel. besides from their respective hobby and personality, there isn’t much depth to the villagers at all and i’d absolutely love for some of their traits from the gamecube version and wild world to come back; i never played ac on the gamecube but i’m still really rooting for ‘rude’ dialogue to make a comeback as while i love how kind my villagers can be sometimes and it feels nice to be loved by them, i also wouldn’t mind a lil bullying from time to time. the dialogue from wild world was great, too, but the main aspect that i’d really love to see again are villager interests; they would sometimes become fixated on specific things (ex. clothing, red furniture, etc) and they’d ask you to bring them stuff that corresponds with whatever they’re into. i felt this was a pretty simple but effective way to bring some life into them since obsessions and interests are a part of everyday life for us so, it made them feel a bit more realistic. plus, their interests were capable of changing from time to time so it wouldn’t stay the same forever which i thought was nice, too. :^)

as for more furniture, clothing and hairstyle options, the main components i’m interested in are new furniture and appearance customizations since i mainly wear custom designs, anyways aha; we all know that new horizons is currently lacking in furniture variation and while this is something that’s being improved over time, i’m really hoping for the items from new leaf, HHD and pocket camp to make a comeback - especially the pocket camp ones as despite how hit-or-miss the game itself was, the items were absolutely stunning! i’d also love some new options for appearances, specifically more hairstyles; while the pigtails are super cute, they’re the only hairstyle that i really like atm and so i’d definitely love for some more variety!

Just the addition of the furniture and items from previous games and collaborations.

Definitely more furniture. The other annoying things like crafting or online play can be tolerated if you're patient, but no amount of patience is going to add more furniture to your game. There's a lot of older items I'd love to use and I was so disappointed to learn they were taken out.

I voted for more furniture, clothes and hairstyles. One problem I kinda have with New Horizons is that even as much as I like the new furniture the game offers, I really do miss the old sets from the previous titles. The longer I decorate my home (and the one of my alt character), the more I realize that I use the same kind of tables, wardrobes, chairs etc. over and over again, simply because there aren't any alternative options. The game lacks in varieties of certain furniture, which sucks. I really hope they adding the old sets in future updates, along with more hairstyles, wings and wigs.

Also agree with the point of improving the dialogue of villagers and NPC.

I'd vote for all of it actually.
Although I really want villagers to be more interactive in the game since they don't interact with me that much other than talking inside their house or outside. It would also be very nice if there was more decor and clothing in NH as well, same with bulk buying and crafting.

I hate pretty much all the hair styles :( I thought in new leaf they were better. I think there’s not really a variety. And often the hair just looks weird to me :< I wish we could customize hair more similar to the sims lol.

Orville is sadly a big reason I avoid online play very often. Some might think I'm being dramatic but dear lord, he never shuts up. I even like Lyle from Happy Home Academy more than Orville.

Anyone miss how snooth things were with Copper and Booker, or even Porter the monkey?

That's exactly what I believe too. They did amazing graphically but the dialogue felt so very rushed and bland.

I think Harriet the dog will come as DLC in some way or form, and we will have Shampoodle back either in our island or somewhere else. My guess is still together with The Able Sisters.

And I'm predicting like 20 new styles for each. Hopefully...

Now that you mention it, I would absolutely love to see old NPCs returning. There's a lot of buzz about Brewster's now as the weather gets colder (in the northern hemisphere at least, lol) but it would be so nice to see Booker and Copper and Harriet return. I admit I don't really miss Shunk too much, but I'd be happy to welcome any of the old familiar faces to New Horizons. It's a little frustrating that we have no idea what Nintendo's plans are until the month that things are implemented, though. I selfishly want to know when we can expect certain things to be done, haha.
