I didn't have anything before and I got terrible dirt wear. Also, I have a LOT of flowers in my town, and they would grow onto where I used to run, so I couldn't run anymore. I think paths are cute, but I like to keep mine more natural looking (keeping away from straight lines).
Nope, I think it just takes a lot of time and I'm too lazy to do such things. I don't think that my town even needs paths, it looks pretty nice even without them. It would be cool to try them sometime though!!
i use QR paths in the northern half of my town, but the southern half is too cluttered with houses and trees right now for me to figure out a good route, and i'm way too bogged down with exams to spend two days plotting out a path route! i'm definitely going to take it on in the summer when i have time to spare, though
i much prefer the look of natural dirt paths to QR paths; when done properly they look so so so good, but they only look good i think when everywhere else is totally grassy and i wouldn't be able to achieve that successfully without time travelling, which i don't want to do
so yeah, QR paths haha
I don't like the look of most paths. In super-stylized town I guess it can look pretty but I like natural more and the straight lines of patterns bother me, so none for me.
I am currently pathing my town and gosh, it is such hard work! I'll have just finished a section of my town and moved on to the next bit, when an unwanted villager chooses to put their house over my lovely new path. Then, you have to go back and re-path and re-organize...Woah, I'm bored just writing about it.
In all the past games I've never used paths, but now that I landscape my town they're a must. The original plan was to use them until they all became dirt paths and then remove them all, but as nice as natural paths look I like the QR path too much to get rid of it. I removed them one day and tried going about my business, but it just kept bothering me so I just quit without saving and kept them.
