Independent is not a political ideology; it just means you choose not to identify with a political party or group. So either you have some other political ideology that's not liberal or conservative (such as libertarian or populist) or you just don't care about politics.

Edit: I didn't really pay attention to the thread title. The thread title talks about political affiliation, not ideology even though the poll options all deal with ideology. So the person who made this thread technically screwed up with the title.

it's accurate-ish, though i'd say i'm more left-authoritarian than that. i prefer a strong central government that mandates or enforces certain things because i don't believe citizens can be trusted to evolve so sometimes they have to be made to, also some liberal values are for people's own good and i don't believe someone should be able to opt out of school or vaccination or in capitalism, i'd prefer if private business was seized if they say, were prone to discrimination because the public might as well claim their assets. also like i don't buy into 'all speech must be protected" because of an imaginary slippery slope. smothering out views of neo-nazis or anti-progressive resistance to human rights is fine to me. i'm naming some examples because i don't want people to assume i mean sarcastic euphemisms for conservatives, because conservatives can still be progressive in their own way. in the states anyway, conservative kinda lost it's original meaning after being hijacked by people they never wanted, because believe it or not we could operate with each other once. other than that yeah
