I have never played a Pokemon game in my life. Well, a little of I think Emerald for GBA and the demo of Infinity Dungeon. Should I get Pokemon X/Y? And if so, which? I've heard that they are really good. I know there's probably another thread on this, but I wanted to tell of my (lack of) previous Pokemon experience.

Y!

The legendary is amazing, and it has better version exclusives in my opinion c:

Both are great games, really though ^~^

I have Pokemon X. Pokemon X and Y have the same storyline and pokemon with little differences like a different legendary and certain pokemon only avaliable to that certain game. I've been playing Pokemon since....forever lol. I even got to play Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow once. Pokemon is a fun game with a simple objective. Get your Pokemon team together, level them up, battle and become the Pokemon Champion after beating the Pokemon League. I'd suggest that if you can go to a movie/video store where you can rent the game, to do that first, instead of paying over $40 for the game and turns out that you don't like it. With the Wifi and friend Safari codes, you can make friends and trade with people all around the world! Which i think is awesome because I never got the trading to work on the older games lol.

Yeah, I was thinking about Y because everyone else is getting X, and cause I liked the other Pokemon better. With the exception of Charizard.

Thanks for the idea! Is there a demo on the E-store? And what kind of store would you recommend going to? Does Gamestop do that?

Yeah, Mega Charizard X is pretty awesome...

I have both mega stones though, so I don't really have to worry about the version c:

I'm a total noob when it comes to Pokemon... I have no idea what "mega stones" are...

Around here there are movie stores like Family Video that will do that. I think basically any place where you can rent movies, they should have a video game section. I don't think Gamestop does that.

A word of advice: Stay faaaaaaaaaaaar away from Gates to Infinity. The game is garbage, they took out the ability to set your gender from all releases outside Japan[no idea why they did that, but they did]. You have all of 5 pokemon to choose from to represent you, and its not randomly selected via questions anymore either.

I personally hate the game but I would say decide for yourself. Look up a playthrough (there are roughly half a million out there) and find some gameplay and do some research. Then decide whether you want to spend the money or not. I personally don't think it's a good idea to depend on anyone else's word, as it's their opinion and not yours. So I won't go into detail about mine.

As for PMD Gates to Infinity, I haven't touched it in ages. I got bored of it once I completed it. Can't say what I think about that either since I can barely remember what happened.

I probably would. All Pokemon games have their introductions, then it's straight into the battles and training. So, you can start with any game and know how to play it. X/Y are obviously the best as of now, so I'd go for one of them. I agree with Ebony Claws, do your research before you buy either one so you know if you want to get a specific version, or if you actually like the style.

I would say Y if you share the same love for how cute mewtwos mega form is ~ ; v ;
