Pokemon Themed Town!

I have been flirting with the idea of either starting over my Skyrim Town (Riften) or scrapping my cycling town to make a third town, but nothing has really come to mind...

but HOLY CRAP, I came up with the best idea ever. Trying to recreate a mini-kanto region of pokemon in animal crossing... having all the villagers be gym leaders, professor oak... and I would need one more person too (bill? it could literally be bill the duck, your rival?, other ideas?)

has anyone ever seen this before? do you think I'm crazy? do you love this idea? ideas for gym leaders or the town in general?

Curlos comes to mind for Brock, maybe clay?
Marina or Lily for Misty
Static (obvi) for LT. Surge
Erika? Violet? for some reason Sprinkle comes to mind...
Koga? Ken or snake because ninjas? I like Ken for this better...
Sabrina? Coco? Pippy?
Blaine? Graham could work here too... Mott looks more like him though... I wish Phoebe was a boy...
Giovanni? Olaf possibly
Prof. Oak? lol Graham maybe

I might be sold on having Bill in it just because thats funny...

Love the idea sounds like it might be a challenge though but I'd love to visit if you ever did it, Static is a great choice for LT. Surge. Muffy could make a good Sabrina.

Muffy for Sabrina is a really good idea! I'm gonna have to plan out what I would want a map to look like in order to get the feel for how you move across kanto

I'm pretty set on doing Kanto, and the 8 gym leaders takes up most villagers, I am sure I would use Graham for Prof. Oak too... I just don't know about the last one... maybe team rocket, maybe Bill, maybe use Coco for Lavender town...

I think you should absolutely do this! You are clearly excited about it, and full of original ideas, and that is really what makes a great town.

I have seen other Pokemon towns on YouTube, but that shouldn't stop you at all. Yesterday, a friend suggested that I start an Alice in Wonderland town. At first I told her that I would have liked to, but that I'd already seen two excellent, fully-themed Alice towns already. But you know...each of those towns has things I think are perfect, and things I personally would have done differently. So if I were to make my own Alice town, I'd have an even better idea of what to do or not do. (I wouldn't want to copy anyone's work, though...that would be the real challenge--knowing what is already out there, but making it your own.)

Janine: Queenie (Koga's daughter, also purple, snooty)
Sabrina: Coco (Creepy but cute)
Blaine: Bud (Cool guy, seems like an islander, and has those tiny glasses)
Giovani: Roscoe, Apollo, or Grizzly (Dark, mean, and mysterious)

I like your ideas! Rosie may be a good choice for Erika, certainly better looking than Violet.... and Bud for Blaine seems like a good fit too! Lopez and Roscoe can't be in it as I have them in other towns and rather don't want to repeat...

I think I will use Graham or Doc as Professor Oak and Coco to signify Lavender town for the two besides gym leaders... as then all the cities are represented and can be marked! I will probably start this tomorrow once my reserver takes Pate from my town... I need to think of a good name for the Town and my character.... I was thinking some sort of mixture of Kanto, Pokemon, Red (not ash), Gen 1, or others to mix it up.....

Its probably gonna take forever to get the right map... as I need one with a skinny spot in the bottom left corner, open spaces for appropriate villager placement later and a river that bends just right so I can make the proper routes. I also remember seeing a path tile with poke balls on it somewhere... I will need to find that too...

Curlos or Clay for Brock (curls might be stretching it a little bit....)
Marina for Misty (doesn't get any more watery)
Static for Lt. Surge (uh duhhhhh)
Rosie vs Violet vs Pekoe vs Flora for Erika
Ken for Koga (ninja and purple coloring for poison)
Muffy for Sabrina (Creepy...) maybe annalisa now that I look at her....
Bud for Blaine (his picture phrase is something about sweating too)
Olaf vs bruce for Giovanni (mob bosses ya know!)

That sounds like a great but very challenging idea!
I loved your town and it is SO much better than anything I would manage to do. So you've obviously got the knack for creating beautiful spaces and making them work.

What kind of PWP's would you have to match the theme?

I have never seen a Pokemon town before so I would love to come and see it when you're done if you do decide to go ahead with it
My town is literally just a plain town with not much of a theme. I don't have much imagination with this stuff haha

I feel like Felicity is a good match for Misty, because of the fact Felicity's ginger as well as Misty. But that's completely up to you!
Also I love this idea of having the elite four for your players house, I would've never have thought of it when making a pokemon town. Maybe you could have some of the other characters for example your rival, live in the town as a resident? Considering your from the same hometown it would make sense, that way you can have way more characters to experiment with. Although it depends whether you're going to base it on your hometown or the Kanto region in general. But you can also do this with other characters as well. Sounds like it's gonna take a lot of hard work but i'd love to see it when it's finished. Bill would make a funny edition though, I think having him as a villager would ensure that people are bound to get the reference to the Kanto region.

I think Pekoe would be perfect as Erika! Unless you're set on Rosie, of course--just my 2 cents.
