I still have none. :( I probably won't get any until March; same as X.

I'm hunting for a lot of shinies...
I went in friend safari today and caught my first ever shiny pokemon (that has my OT at least)
I thought it would take ages, but 15 encounters later and I ran into a beautiful electabuzz

;-;

Shiny grumpig on friend safari

I was going for a shiny espurr, and it just popped up. I don't like grumpig all that much, but it's shiny form makes it look much more cute

Just yesterday I got a shiny 6iv modest kyogre for a talonflame on the gts and today I hatched a shiny 4iv adamant machop with egg moves. He's now a proud machamp who inspires kids everywhere to eat their veggies!

Right from the bat when I first began Omega Ruby, ten minutes in, I found a Shiny Zigzagoon. I called it Tom Nook XP
I didn't try any Shiny methods, I was just running around the grass to train my Torchic.

Found a shiny Abra! I was hunting for a shiny espurr, so I didn't have anything to stop it teleporting....

Not taking any chances- I'm just going to throw a master ball

Another shiny grumpig...

I can't help but notice how 3/5 of my shinies are from me searching for a shiny espurr

Hope you find the shiny espurr you want! You just have to be persistent and not give up, you'll eventually find it.

Right now I'm currently breeding for a shiny competitive skrelp after getting my shiny competitive machop after 800 or so eggs. I couldn't believe my eyes when it hatched. I also remember getting my 3iv HA timid froakie after about 1,200+ eggs for that alone. So as you can see, being persistent and not giving up pays off! :lemon:

Thanks! Good luck with skrelp!

Just got my 3rd shiny grumpig 0-0
Searching for about 10 more minutes before I go to sleep.
I'll start again in the morning

Doing a wonderlocke of Pokemon Y, and I got a shiny sylveon in the trade for route 7.
o.o

Yea...that just happened. o.o

I'm currently DexNav chaining for a shiny Swablu on Pokemon AS. After a few chains I finally understood how the chain works.

Now I started at a search level of 136, currently at 204, no shiny yet, and the average Pokemon level of the Swablu is now as high as my party Pokemon (34-ish) and the high level Swablu's are in the 40 XD So it's getting harder, but my chain hasn't broken.

Plus, my repels were all out after a chain of 30, so I'm already 50 chains without repels XD

So here are my findings of the DexNax chaining:

- The average Pokemon level of your encounters during the chain gets higher as your chain gets longer
- The exclamation marks (for level, potential, move and ability) are more common as your chain gets longer
- You must defeat or capture the Pokemon to continue the chain
- Important note: Sometimes, the DexNav cannot find your Pokemon. If you walk around a bit, the DexNav will pick up a random encounter. Sneak up to it and defeat it. Then you have to select the Pokemon you were chaining for on the DexNav again and search for it. This continues your chain! I saw this confirmed by multiple threads on internet and have tested it myself, and it works.

EDIT:
I reached a chain of 90, and the level of the Pokemon I encounter got reset. Average is 17 now.

EDIT2: Andddddd I accidentally broke my chain by walking to fast >_<

Started a new chain at search level 236, got some repels too again XD

YUSH! Finally!
Starting at search lvl 262 and found a shiny Swablu at the 40th chain (with few random dexnav in between).
It's a male, rash nature, with Dragon Rush as a first move, so pretty nice ^-^
Just so happy right now!

Congratulation on your Swablu :)

btw, what if i running out of PP moves, what will i do now?

Thanks!

I made do with Ethers and Leppa Berries (both restore 10 PP per use), and using high PP moves mostly.

Mightyena became amazingly overleveled while I chained for Swablu, but Bite has 25 PP and I could knock out most Pokemon in one hit. Linoone with Cut and Headbutt can also take a lot of Pokemon down fairly easy.

So try to take lot of strong Pokemon with you with moves with high PP, preferably those that are supereffective against what Pokemon you're chaining for, so you can kill lots without becoming unable to kill them at some point XD

Woosh O_O I just got to Mt. Pyre and decided to chain Vulpix a bit. So after a few short chains, I have a chain of 10, I am at search lvl 23, I just walked away to bake something and I hear my 3ds make a sparkling sound~!

So shiny Vulpix for meeeeeh :D

While horde hunting for a shiny Seedot to replace the one I lost when my Emerald save corrupted, I ended up finding a shiny Zigzagoon in a horde instead.
