Pokémon Gray

A lot of times companies will buy a bunch of domains just in case. I remember a few years back (I believe before AC:WW was released), someone found a domain owned by Nintendo for animalcrossing-________.com, and whatever the ______ was not "wild world" (this was discovered when it was still named Animal Crossing DS). Everyone got excited at nsider, and it ended up being nothing more than either a hoax by Nintendo or more likely just one of the 20 names they chose between for AC:WW.

So in this case, Nintendo knew there's be a chance of Gray coming out, but didn't know for sure. But they're better off buying the domain before Black & White were announced, since right when that happened you know someone else would, and Nintendo would have to pay a ton for the pokemon gray domain.

Also interesting-
Pokemonsapphire and Pokemonruby .coms redirect to pokemon.com
Pokemongold and Pokemonsilver .coms redirect to nintendo.com
Pokemonblue and Pokemonred .coms aren't owned by nintendo :(

Since when did Pok?mon and Melbourne IT had anything in common?

It's held by the same guys that made the black and white website. Nintendo said they were done with 5th Gen, though. What could this mean?

Nothing apparently. Gray is coming, but I think we're probably not going to hear anything til Spring if that.

Maybe the're not making anymore Pokemon games because the're all kinda similar. Just a thought. But even though they all have the same kinda layout e.g. There's a rival a which has some relation to a team or something. then there's 3 starter Pokemon Grass, Fire,Water. There's a prof. and she/he asks you to complete a Pokedex. And you encounter a Big legendary Pokemon before/after the Elite 4. Then once you complete the story you can do whatever the heck you want...

I know I'm kinda making out that Pokemon sounds boring. But it isn't (well, the TV program is lame) Pokemon series are great for, well, i don't know but they attract people from Kids(9-12) to Teens (13+) so its hard to tell if there gonna quit the series of games but I don't know so don't take my word for it...

Hey, isn't it funny that over half the people on the whole of TBT have some relation to Pokemon? And some Pokemon fans own or did own some sort of Animal Crossing franchise? Weird huh?

BTW I agree with Yorkie. What has Melbourne IT got to do with Pokemon? Have Pokemon been over run with ICT "lets expand our horizons together" nerds? Who knows?

RIP Reading and comprehension 10/24/11

And they will always make Pokemon games so long as they remain profitable.

If you read anything in my post, you would realize that Melbourne IT has made the past couple of websites for the pok?mon games. So, therefore, if they own the domain, they might create a pok?mon website for Nintendo like they usually do. READING: IT SAVES PEOPLE'S DIGNITY!

How long was it before they announced the other games like Platinum and Emerald? Maybe it is getting to the time where another would be on it's way.
Also, if they say they're done after Gen 5 this'd still be 5. Just that nothing would come after it, at least no new Pokemon.

Done after Gen 5? No way. When a game sells 10-15+ million copies each generation there is no way the publisher would stop making the games. Also, even though I'm a huge fan of the original games, I still appreciate the fact that the new ones are still fun. Plus there's always going to be a new batch of 8 year olds for each new generation of games.

Sales (# games sold) by generation:
Red/Blue/Yellow: 31 mil
Gold/Silver/Crystal: 23 mil
Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald: 15 mil
Diamond/Pearl/Platinum: 17 mil
Black/White: 12 mil (yet to have holiday season sales in US/EU)
FireRed/LeafGreen: 10 mil
HeartGold/SoulSilver: 10 mil
