I need some help with Ruby GBA. I just scraped past Victory Road with a ton of level 30 Pokemon and Groudon, and the Elite Four is up next. What types do I need and which Pokemon are preferable for beating the Elite Four and then the Champion? My starter was Torchic, btw.

Elite Four Types are Dark, Ghost, Ice, Dragon, and Steel for Champion. Since you have Torchic as your starter, it can already learn fire and fighting moves which already cover Dark, Ice, and half of Steven's team since only half of his team is actually Steel. You would need a Dark or Ghost type to defeat Phoebe. All her Pokemon are weak to ghost with the exeption of Sableye. Or you can go look for a Pokemon that can learn Shadow Ball or any ghost/dark move. Then for Drake, you can go get an Ice Type in Shoal Cave or check with your water types if they can learn Ice Beam. All his Pokemon are weak to Ice or even twice weak to ice(Shelgon-Dragon, Altaria- Dragon and Flying, Flygon-Dragon/Ground, and Salamence- Dragon Flying) he has two of one of them, forgot which. If you have a Water Type that can learn Ice Beam, that's very good since you get to defeat Drake and Steven's non Steel Type include Armaldo(Bug and Rock), Claydol(Psychic and Ground), and Cradily(Grass and Rock). You can teach the Water Type Pokemon to use Surf on Armaldo and Claydol. You can Use Ice Beam on Claydol and Cradily. I suggest getting a Magikarp or Gyarados in Sootopolis. Level them up to maybe to around 60-70 then bring revives and full restores then you should be fine.

The GBA elite four are 40ish near 50 ranges but my advice is to just keep running them over and over, level up, and finally get through them. That's what I did. Even super effective moves on a pokemon 10 levels lower might not be enough, but you can at least take out a few pokemon to get their levels up.

A fairy with access to shadow ball will get through pheobe and drake really easy. Will need a pokemon with ice or physic move to kill dralgea if you can't brute force it or don't have a physic move on your fairy.

idk about all y'all but im glad the teams got redesigns. i saw shellys original design and i would not have liked her as much if she stayed the same. same with matt and archie. i dont really care about nerd scientists but they got better looking as well.

Is it possible to turn off getting bases from online? I'm not sure if that's the reason but when I try to add a new base it says I need to delete bases from my favourites list that has none on it

That's what mine says too but I don't have any saved favorites

You just need to delete a few bases you got from online, then you can continue scanning QRs.
There's no way to turn it off though. Kind of an oversight.

like a secret pal made me a toy PC before i got bronze. at bronze rank, you can buy it from the guild shop.

you dont NEED one, as its not in the original hoenn dex (i think) but if youre trying to complete your national dex, then sure.

The Island Cave where you found Regice. Regice needs to have a nickname and should be holding a cold item (Never-Melt-Ice, Snowball, Casteliacone). Also it needs to be during the day.

Did you get your bases from QR codes? If you use qr codes, they'll be automatically saved like that. If you're just getting them from playing online, I think they just disappear and get automatically replaced unless you specifically save them.
