if i wanted to, i could buy lots of pokeballs (like heal, luxury, quick, timer) in Y, attach them to pokemon, trade them over to my brothers OR then to my AS. its so much work tho.

I REALLY want to try soft reseting but I don't want to waste hours of game time for nothing, and a google search only says that certain Legendary Pokemon are not shiny locked, the others status being unknown.

Groudon and Kyogre have never been shiny locked. Apart from event Pokemon, Victini, Zekrom and Reshiram were the first ones.

Yeah, I posted that earlier. /vp/ is not always a place to be trusted but I guess in this case they were on the money. Glad to see their shiny versions becoming available, my Kyurem was getting lonely.
I doubt they cared about what day it was in the US. The release date was set to be exactly 12 years after Ruby and Sapphire's original release date.

Actually I may have been a dumbass. Since they're story Pokemon, they might be locked after all, but nobody has been able to confirm it yet. You could faint them to hold off the resetting until later (they reappear after defeating the E4), so you can wait to hear if there's a shiny lock in place.
Or you can be the guinea pig.
Yeah, sorry, that's what I meant. They kept playing on that fact in all the Japanese trailers, showing R/S footage, then "12 YEARS LATER..." pops up and they show the same stuff but in OR/AS.
