Pokémon Pokemon General

I just can't get into Nuzlocke challenges. Too many rules.
I think the three main rules are like,
Have to nickname your pokemon so you feel attached to them (for the extra emotional blow if they die)
Can only catch one pokemon per route, if you flee, kill it or it flees you cant catch anything else in that route and move on
Your pokemon die, you can't use it.

Some people do add other little rules, I know someone who doesn't heal with potions in gym fights, or for instance for me, to avoid catching the same pokemon in another route; if I have already caught it i can flee (not kill, I stick to that rule) and walk around for another kind of pokemon. One even decides to release his pokemon when dead, but I just put them in PC boxes since my games are the physcial versions and rather keep them after finishing a game.

I get it does sometimes feel a bit much, and cause we're used to just playing normally, we forget to keep an eye on matches, for example, if you odnt take into consideration that the enemy pokemon just used too much leer that could instantly kill your pokemon if they decide to attack.

I'm personally okay with the rules, but I get wayyy too attached to my Pokémon to do Nuzlockes. I attempted one, cried when a Pokémon fainted and gave up. 👍
Definitely the main point of the game, to feel more attached to something that could not end well.
I just lost a good pokemon in my Pokemon X nuzlocke to which I decided to make a POkemon Y nuzlocke instead XD I'll get back to X at some point. XD

Medals, a feature first introduced in B2W2 has returned in Pokémon HOME!

Here is more info on Medals from Serebii.net:

"The maintenance for Pokémon HOME is now over and a brand new feature has been adeed: Medals. Medals are a feature that can be used on Basic or Premium Plan which allow for you to go to special events to collect medals that can then be traded or gifted to friends.
These can be obtained at various real life locations related to Pokémon including Pokémon Center stores and participating in official Pokémon competitions.
To start, all players get given 3 of one of the sets of First Partner Pokémon medals from Kanto to Paldea in order to encourage trade and gifts.
"

I loved the Medals feature from B2W2. I am curious how many I can collect given that I re-entered the franchise during SwSh.

I have been on a weird Pokemon game kick this last week, I have been playing Brilliant Diamond for the Nintendo Switch (I'm playing it on the switch 2) and was able to breeze through all of the gyms and didn't have a single Pokemon die until I got to the elite four. I'm really struggling with the elite 4 this time which is odd since I've never really completely struggled against the Elite 4 in other Pokemon games (aside from when I was playing at like 10 years old.) I'm trying to reconfigure my team and figure stuff out but I was able to beat 2 of the 4 but then died and have to start all over again.

I almost forgot about this, whatever happened with this feature? I got the 3 when they became available and that's... it? Not nearly as fun as medals in B2W2.
Anyway, my main Pokemon thoughts recently are about trying really hard to complete more dexes. Not sure if I will be playing the other games as much for awhile after ZA comes out.

I seriously am mad at the Pokemon franchise (with the exception of Omega Ruby). I haven't bought a main-line game since Pokemon Sword, and most of their main-line games are getting a little boring.

In Pokemon Ultra Moon, I have ten boxes called "Friend Box." Once I get my friend's Moon cartridge, I plan to give her all of those boxes, all above level 30, no dupes (she doesn't have Pokemon Bank). I only see her on Mondays though, and I can only get access to Pokemon Bank at my mom's house. So if she gives me her Moon cartridge this upcoming Monday, I shall transfer them to her on the upcoming Saturday or Sunday.

She's stuck on what she calls "The giant fish level" which we all know as "The water gym trial." The innocence is real. :)

i wanna get more pokemon games for the whole family

i hope to get pokemon gold silver and crystal for me my brother and my sister

(too bad pokemon red costs like a bajillion dollars, seriously yall cant be saying nintendo labo is overpriced cardboard and think that pokemon red boxed should be over 100 dollars bro the entire box the game is held in is complete cardboard what even is logic anymoreeeeeeee 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭)
oh also apparently i now have 3 eggs that i got from my glaceon and jolteon but apparently they dont like each other????? like, huh???????? is this some kinda enemies to lovers thing????????

So I just now realized that "Clamperl" is spelled that way instead of "Clampearl".

I lived my whole life thinking that, it was a complete lie...
Ok this is the first time I noticed that too. Not a pokemon I usually think about, and there are so many of them by now I would probably spell several of them wrong.
