Pokémon Pokemon General

Edit @ 16:14: It has also been announced that in the US, Serial Codes for the Eon Ticket will be given to Play! Pok?mon Organisers and heads of StreetPass groups from November 21st. From there, the Eon Ticket can be StreetPassed to other players

Just had a thought... If the Eon Ticket is spread through streetpasses doesn't that mean this distribution technically never ends? It would mean that even someone who gets the game late next year can still get it, so nobody gets 'disadvantaged' for being a late player. This actually makes the event feel a bit better for me.

That's correct. I'll likely be using my copy of Alpha Sapphire to restart and play through a couple of times, do some challenges like Nuzlocke and whatnot... So now even if I do that I can get the Eon Ticket from my Omega Ruby copy. I like it.

That's what I hope I can do, I'll need to borrow my brother's 3DS to do that though. Thinking about it it shouldn't be too hard to get it, I'll just carry my 3DS with me everywhere (I might sneak it under the till at work but I don't want to get in trouble and I don't think people take their 3DSs to the zoo), the idea of it basically being active forever makes me feel a lot better about it- I think I'll save my holiday time :P
Any word on the Japanese distribution? If that's Streetpass too I won't get this event on my Japanese ORAS unless you can streetpass the European ticket over...

Serebii reported the Japanese distribution is an event but can also be passed on through StreetPass. No word on how big the event is or how it will be done.

I think the reason they're doing it like this is to encourage people to go outside with their 3DS systems more often to StreetPass. Japan doesn't have a problem with it, they're picking up people left and right, but it's often very slow in the west. I like the idea, and it's good if the event has an infinite availability. No word on whether that's the case, but with how they're saying it can be passed on through SP, I'd think it's safe to assume that that's the case. The original Eon Ticket didn't have a time limit on it either from what I remember.

I swear if AU gets street pass relay I will die.
I legit go to the ****ing city CBD, take like 50,000 steps and get like 2 street passes....

i still live in the middle of nowhere
rip

I know, that's why it's dumb. People in remote areas don't have a chance. Hopefully the street pass relay is something where they be like "if ur lucky enough to street pass relay you get it early" and then a few months later they eon ticket thru wifi

I pronounce it die-an-see now I know how to properly pronounce it's die-on-see

- - - Post Merge - - -

Any word on its release date?

i say dee-on-see.
in japanese, its ディアンシー, which is pronounced dei-a-nn-shiii so i guess oath's pronunciation is closest.

But since its name comes from "diamond" and "fancy", the way it's pronounced in the movie is correct.
Diamond is pronounced as ディアモンド di-a-mo-n-do in Japanese while fancy is pronounced as ファンシー fa-n-shii, so their pronunciation of Diancie makes sense, but just for them.

Official publications aren't always a good source for pronunciation though. Arceus is pronounced as "ar-see-yus" in English, while "ar-kay-oos" would be the proper way when you look at the origin of its name.
