So, I don't know if anyone already knew this, but it's the first I've heard...

Nintendo's latest Newsletter has shown that you can get a Shadow MewTwo amiibo Card...

I've not heard much, but I know a lot of people have been speculating that Pokemon will get a bunch (if not a full pokedex worth of) amiibo cards...

Either way, this looks like a nice addition to any amiibo collection... Damn you Nintendo -_-

It comes free (or bundled) with Pokemon Tournament, which is currently on preorder.

Check it out:

I have already pre-ordered my usual amount spamurai.
The BEST price for it would be the Pokken Tournament bundle which is ?59.99 on Nintendo UK Official Store as the game is ?49.99 and the Pokken Tournament Pro Pad is ?19.99 on its own.

I am feeling kind enough to share the link today. XD

Pokk?n Tournament + Shadow Mewtwo amiibo Card + Pro Pad Controller

For anyone who cares when they made the pokemon amiibo figures they actually kept spare hex codes between them so they could make the other pokemon if they wanted. Idk how to explain, but basically think of their hex code as the national dex number - #001 through #008 are free, then charizard is #009, #010 through #024 is free, then pikachu is #025, etc... They purposely kept the codes free so if they ever decide to make other pokemon figures they can easily insert their codes in a linear fashion.

Obviously this doesn't confirm anything, but it means if they are going to make pokemon amiibo cards, at least they're planning ahead. Personally I don't care either way, I don't see how cards can really add anything to the game anyway, unless it's a spin off.

amiibo figures of literally every Pokemon sounds like a good way to give Jason a heart attack

especially if they also include megas and alt forms and etc

That is not very nice... You'd would basically be to blame if I did have one now for saying it... :P

I would actually not buying amiibo if there were more than the Super Smash Bros. Collection as I don't want 1.436 amiibo figures.

Ah, nice nice. It was only a matter of time before Pokemon got hit with the amiibo craze.

Yeh, I saw this in a youtube video a while back...
But does that mean this mewtwo will scan the same as the its figure? aha

I'm not sure, but probably not. It's probably the same as how the toon link and link amiibo work in hyrule warriors and smash respectively - both give the same thing in HW despite having two different codes. Say toon link has the code #ABC, and link has the code #ABCC. Hyrule warriors data would be programmed to unlock the spinner when ever an #ABC hex code is put into the data. But because they work in HW, doesn't mean they work the same in smash, because each gives their own respective fighter. So smash would be programmed to instead read #ABC as only toon link, and #ABCC as link, despite HW reading #ABC as both.
So for mewtwo, let's say the figures hex code is #AA151, the cards code would be something like #AB151, thus the game would only be programmed to read the data of the #AB151 code, and not the #AA151 code (unless the figure has compatibility, but even then, they can still easily separate the two despite being similar to each other).

Basically the codes are a lot longer than a string of numbers, and usually have letters in them. If they make a different figure of the same amiibo, they usually just change the letter combination so the numbers stay the same. And you can't tell if they'll unlock the same thing because you have no idea how they've programmed the data for the game.

i was just telling my Husband yesterday , that i was shocked that nintendo had not started Pokemon Amiibo cards lol

It only comes with the first print copies of the game and it unlocks the dark Mewtwo fighter thingy right away instead of needing to unlock it. Pretty lame if you'd ask me...
