LOL that's good information to have. Then again.. I'm pretty sure I downloaded at least one pokemon that was caught before the games existed and it went through..
also, what did catching it in 2009 have to do with its IVs being better?
Haha, right? I am happy it went through. Absol is my favourite Pokemon, so yeah.
Never heard of RNG Abuse? Long story short, you need to turn the game on at a certain time (down to the exact second) to hit the so called "seed". The game consists of frames, and so, when you hit the desired seed and advance the frames enough to land on the one you need, you can hatch/encounter a pokemon you desire. Took me a day because I had trouble hitting the seed sometimes and then in some areas, the game advances a few frames by itself so it was hard for me to hit the right one (because I had trouble determining which one I was on)
I am bad at explaining, but if you're interested, check Smogon, they have guides on that. It can be a long and annoying process sometimes, I lose my patience at times, but it's worth it. I am better at breeding this way, usually takes me just a few tries, but it was my first time RNGing a wild Pokemon, so yeah.
But why it was 2009? RNG reporter couldn't find any desirable seed in 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010. So I had to do this, haha.
