Pokémon Pokeball controller question

Does anyone who has this know if you can use the Pokeball controller for any other games? Does it have enough buttons or is it just a joystick? You know, like badly playing another PlayStation game with a DDR dancepad? lol I am more interested in the controller than the game, but wasn't sure if it is even worth it by itself.

So far the Pok?mon games are the only games to fully support it.
