Once upon a time in this exact spot I am standing in was where Benjamin placed his house. Then Stitches moved in next door. I want to place Julian back in this spot where Stitches was. I've been at this for about 4 days now and Julian has placed his house everywhere EXPECT for this freakin' spot. (Granted I have class, work and an internship so I probably have not spent as much time as most people do when they plot reset for 4 days but still peeved). Did Stitches moving in somehow make this spot unplottable/unplaceable/unlivable? Or am I just unlucky and will have to try to keep going at it. I've heard that a villager won't place his house where one just moved out but this is not the case because in my old town Marshal placed his house where Peanut's used to be.

what ovo

usually villagers tend to move around the spot that the last villager left.

Maybe keep resetting?

I once reset 2 weeks just to get Phoebe's house in a decent place.

But, that's the thing in my old town 3 of my villagers literally back to back after one left placed the house in the SAME exact spot. With Benjamin I had the exact problem I didn't want him to place his house there because I wanted him to leave but he was stubborn as hell, the only other spots he picked were in my hybrids so I caved. Now it won't let me place Julian. IT'S LIKE THE GAME KNOWS AND IS MOCKING ME :|

Hmm when Skye left my town pietro moved in right in the she was at, no resetting

Also now Julian keeps trying to move onto my hybrids too. I'm afraid to go back and build a fountain in the one place he keeps going to because I did that with Phoebe but she ended up placing her spot perfectly so I got lucky there.

I noticed this in my old town. Chops moved away and I messed up plot resetting for Gala, but she moved one space away from the perfect spot. That spot was around about where Chops' house was.

Plot resetting is annoying, but I've gotten the hang of it for my new town. I don't want to mess up my new town, because I want to make it as good as I can.
Perfectionist.

Yeah I've had him move onto the other side of the path but ONE square down which resulted in me showing my brother and talking about it angrily with lots of hand gestures while he was like o.o; C'mon Julian, Stitches is an adorable little cub. Move in next to him, befriend him, be bros.

I had Julian move in, after a bird villager I didn't like, and he moved way far away from him. So this doesn't always hold true I think ^^;;

Hmm. Just seems like I gotta keep going at it D:
Thanks guys! I will probably build 20 fountains or something before I move in my next 3 villagers to make my life easier ;__;

Francine kept putting her house in only 2 spots. No matter how much I tried, she wouldn't place it anywhere else. I had to work with what I got, but I wish her house was in a different place ;-;
And I wish that I could've plot reset EVERYONE except Diana, Cookie, and Chrissy.

I ran into a similar situation when I was plot resetting Apollo's house. I wanted him to take the spot where Avery and Static's houses used to be, but he'd just regularly plot down near the entrance to a bridge. Luckily he finally plotted in that spot and I've since built a PWP in the location his house kept going to.

I have a big area in-between Hamlet and Olivia's houses where Timbra's house roughly used to be. I want to create a row of three houses with a third house in the big area. I tried plot-resetting Lobo, Puck and Barold in that area but they never put their house there ever. Is it because there were patterns in the way or something? The closest one got was Barold putting his house right on top of my purple roses...

This has happened to me, I wanted O'Hare at the spot next to the right side of the police station. But he just wouldn't obey my words, he just want to pick other horrible spots. I decided to give up on the police station spot and go right to the right spot of the town hall where Lucy was, Stitches was on the left just one space up and I want it to be the same on the right side. It took one day until it was successful, I took it and it worked well. Now I want Diana to be at the right side of the police station, and if I ever get her I will plot reset her in that exact spot.

Oh lord I guess I am stuck resetting forever. Ironically it took half an hour before I gave up and was like FINE BENJAMIN PLACE YOUR HOUSE HERE. I don't think patterns should affect it though because Benjamin placed his house there when there were patterns in the way.

Still struggling on placing Julian. I've heard that if I jump to the next day and try doing it, the game will generate new/different spots because it's a different day, does anyone know if there's any truth to it? I've been trying and it seems like he's picking the same spots as when I tried with the exception of like one spot :/

I've never had to plot reset for longer than a few hours, but then again, I'm less picky about spots. Just keep trying? D;

I used to not be but then a whole bunch of villagers moved in perfectly on a line in my town and I started planning out the paths so now I am determined. Julian I will not let you defeat me >:O.

Aha, that answers my mental question about Kabuki's placement.
And also why he decided it would be funny to place his home two blocks in front of the space I wanted him to move in to. (It was next to Genji, two japan orientated villagers next to each other, it would have been perfect.)
The only tip I say to you is that once you have him down start placing custom design signs like crazy. It's just enough space to make villagers not move into spots you don't want them to. It worked for me and placing Stitches.

I don't understand why you're afraid to? It seems like a great idea, as long as you're sure you won't want to demolish it until Julian successfully moves in. Also you don't have to pay anything off (I always thought this, so anyone correct me if I'm wrong!!), just set up the donation site.

Another thing you can do is use up your 3rd save file, cos from your map you only have 2. Go back (to PRE-Julian) and create a 3rd character and claim a spot with their tent to reduce the amount of space Julian can move into. You can delete/recreate the new player as often as you like if you change your mind (as I said, PRE-Julian, but I'm sure you understand that).

On similar threads, people say putting money on the floor everywhere but where they should move in helps. But I never tried it. You can if you want.
