I've been plot resetting Fauna's house for a few hours now, and I' getting pretty annoyed. :(
The main problem is that the game seems to want to put her house in a specific spot in the corner of town. And I don't want it there. Roughly nine times out of ten the plot shows up in the same area of town: on top of my peach orchard in the farthest corner. Grr, it's drving me craaazy ;-; And there's plenty of free space, so I don't know why it keeps appearing there. I just started this town and I don't even have any PWPs yet. Occasionally it appears somewhere else, but I haven't liked any of those spots yet either.

How long does plot resetting usually take? And why does the game seem to want her house in the most annoying spot? I thought villager houses were supposed to appear randomly, not in the same terrible spot 90% of the time. :mad:

I'm getting really fed up. I might just let her live there :c

Should I keep trying or is this just a waste of time?

Well, its just random where it will put it. I only had to reset 5 times to get O'Hare's house in the perf spot.

There seem to be hotspots around a town where villagers' houses are more likely to spawn. There are definitely places in my town that villagers seem to like placing their houses more than others. Like directly in front of my house/the town hall. >.>;

I can usually get a villager into an acceptable place within half an hour. Resetting for hours to try to get into a general location seems over the top to me.

The most I've done was 70-ish for Felicity's house :<
Like Xanarcah said, it seems that there are several spots where villagers are most likely to put their houses in. During my reset Felicity kept landing herself in front of my bridge. Sometimes she put her house in another spot though.

The next time you do the plot reset, maybe try to put some PWPs on those spots? I flood my town with flower beds afterwards, and the villagers seem to put their houses in better places.

If I were you I'd keep trying. I think it's worth it. Good luck getting Fauna to put her house in a good place!

To avoid villager plot their house in top of my hybrids area I have cheapest pwp there (yellow bench 30k) and multiple them so nobody will plot there when I reset =x and yet Papi still manage to squeeze in to that small tiny cramp area and next to the cliff for like few times during my reset =3=

I use Flower Beds, personally. 26,400 bells, 2x2 spaces, and you can walk over them so they're really unobtrusive. Also holds flowers in them, which works for keeping hybrids safe from plotting villagers. xD;

Flower bed? Geez I guess nobody suggest that yet haha! Thanks! I will try to get it and put more of that xD I just recently remove those yellow bench but I guess I am letting go 1 villager and I need to protect my hybrids!

Really? I think all personality types can suggest it, so hopefully you'll get it quickly! : D

There are like, 26 of them around my main town right now~ Trying to restrict where my cycling villagers are moving to until I get my final set of permanent villagers in.

I didn't have to reset the plot for Julian's house. It was PERFECT. <3

I made a rectangular area with 4 streetlights -- one in each corner -- and stuck a couple of streetlights in the middle of that, to prevent anyone from putting a house down there, and that's where I keep the big batch of hybrids. Streetlights have the smallest footprint so they're ideal for this, also they're on the cheap-ish side.

The pattern is sort of like this, with o's being streetlamps and --- being spaces (don't know if this will work)

o------------------o

----o---------o----

o------------------o

To the north is a house; to the south is a cliff; and there are PWPs not far off to the left and the right. This way, I lose only 6 spaces where flowers can't be stuck, and I don't think anyone could cram a house in there.

I get 1 pwp suggested everyday but guess what? It's all from Rizzo!! he live next to me and everyday ping me about Zen pwp ;_; I want fairy tales....hope he done with him suggestion now LOL

oh my gosh. I'm having the same problem with merengue! The game is always getting merengue in the corner of town ughhhh. ;-; im still plot resetting.

Is there such a thing as "preferred plots" for villager house placement? I reset quite a lot (lost count) when Marshal moved in but among all those resets there was a particular spot among all (smack in between trees + hybrids) that the appeared more often.

im pretty sure there is, sadly :/
having this issue with bianca. just keep resetting and resetting. if in ten minutes nothing works, time to set up some PWPs.

What I hate is the fact when you're doing villager plot resetting for the villagers rather than the plot is when you have a really awesome villager but in the worst spot. I had to reset for Stitches tons of times and I'm still unhappy with his plot but oh well I'll work around it.

I've noticed villagers don't move on bushes? I had a bush maze on the bottom right of my town and people refuse to move there.A populated spot is bridge and behind/in front of retail imo

They won't move where a gem rock is, either. If there is any way, I recommend leaving a gem rock in a spot you would never want a villager. It's a bad feeling to have a spot you want to plot reset a villager to, and it turns out the gem rock spawned there. I have 10 villagers, but I still just ignore the gem rock I have since it's in an out-of-the-way spot.
