Plot resetting woes....

To made sure I'm following you: This is the screen you're seeing, with at least one villager moving around town, and noticing the plot appears located where you want it (even though it isn't official or the apparent location when you start with a new character to begin the plot-resetting process) prior to starting up the game of "Animal Crossing: New Leaf."

Yep....you got it.

4 and a half hours to get Muffy's house where Lucky's house was. I guess I've been lucky at this before. Today was just horrid.

i think the longest i plot reset was a week straight, essentially all day taking a couple of breaks in between. yeah, that sounds like i have no life and it was all in vain when his plot never ended in the same spot that i saw it in on the start up screen.

I remember in my old game I had a nice square with golden roses and a I believe it was Puck who built his house not only on the path, but on my roses as well.

After plot resetting for Kyle for 2 days, I've now decided nobody is moving for a good while cause I don't want to have to plot someone new.

The longest I've ever had to plot reset was Poppy, she took TWO WEEKS to plot reset. If she wasn't so cute, I would've hit her with a net everyday for the past weeks.

Luckily the game decided to be good to me while I was plot resetting Erik a few days ago, he only took about 15 resets or so ^^"

I did plot resetting for a camper and it took me 2 or 3 days until she plotted in the area I wanted her, it was very frustrating but it was totally worth it.

I get the most angry when they're about 4 squares from where you want them, then you think 'Well they're in that area maybe I'll get lucky and they'll stay in that area so it won't take longer' but then you try again and they're on the other side of the map. Ugh.

Both Flurry and Genji took 3 days. Flurry I was extremely happy since she finally plotted down exactly where I needed, but Genji was one spot back. I got fed up and just accepted it. I'm dreading tomorrow since I'll be taking in Zucker and I have a VERY specific spot in mind for him.

When they put their house in the exact same horrible spot over and over again.

I've actually been lucky the past few plot resets. I've gotten Ankha, Rod, and Kabuki all in a straight line above my river pretty quickly (not longer than an hour). I'm plot resetting for Tex right now so that he doesn't destroy anything, and he's given me some pretty interesting ideas for where to place my dreamies houses.

There's one spot in my town that's kind of bare, and I like to use it for trading items. Since it's bare, it's always a favorite spot for plot plopping...ugh. The daily ore rock appeared there weeks ago. What a God-send! I'm NEVER hitting that rock! Major rock love right here.

I also have it in my head that throwing down a bunch of pocket crap where you don't want a plot helps. It doesn't ALWAYS work, but I think it might help the odds just a smidge.

That moment when you forget to plot rest a dreamie but they put their house just where you wanted them to!

Ever since I started plot resetting, every new villager built their house on Cirro's stone (which also happens to be too close to the town hall). Can you just not destroy that stone please? I kinda like it.
