idk if this is the right place to ask this in or if I can, so I'll remove it if I'm not supposed to post something like this, sorry in advanced.

But has anyone ever tried plot resetting using powersaves? I'm down to 7 (or 8) villagers right now and haven't had a villager move in in about a couple of days, so I was planning on backing up my 2nd town, and then getting on to see if anyone moved in, and if they moved in an unwanted position then just close it and retrieve my backup file. My question is though will that stop the villager from moving in or will it just cause the same plot to happen anyway?

I don't have wanted villagers in my 2nd town other than poppy and apple, so everyone else is free to come and go until I see which villagers I want in my 2nd town. I just have a lot of hybrids that I don't wanna lose due to a bad villager plot.

If a plot isn't already down and you back-up your town then you can use powersaves to plot reset. I don't know if I'm completely understanding the question. :/ But I used to use it to plot reset. Whenever I'd invite a villager to move in I'd wait until the next day (because i didnt want to tt) and then I'd use my mayor to see where they plotted. If I didn't like the spot then I'd turn off my game and restore the file. Repeat.

that's exactly what I wanted to know! I want to be able to back up my 2nd town and then if a villager moves in on a wrong spot then I can go back and get the backup file c:

my question was will the villager still move in once I get the backup and start over? I'm just hoping I can still do plot resetting just using the powersaves to make it less time consuming

idk if it'll change who the villager is that moves in.

my advice is backup your town, and time warp until you get a new villager and then reload your save and try it again and see if its a different villager next time.

I'll try that since I'm not looking for dreamies yet c: thanks!

*update

I saw cyrano moved over some flowers and quit and restored my backup and then checked the same spot to see if the plot was still there and nope! but Gruff moved in in the plot next to where Cyrano's was! so it does change who moves in ^_^
It's okay though, maybe I'll find someone I like by doing this method for now c:
