Okay, so I've plot reset many villagers, and never had this problem..
I'm currently plot resetting diana, but for some reason, she is almost always plotting in the exact same spot.
Literally 9/10 times, she is in the same spot.
I have 30 projects scattered throughout my town, and there are only about 6 different areas where a villager can plot, and previous villagers have plotted in these spots..
I adopted her from my own cycle town.
I dont know what to do.. this hasnt happened to me before the update. has anyone else had this issue?

yep i have this issue all the time now. unless you use paths to dictate where she moves, you have to reset A LOT. it takes forever for me to get them to go to a different spot.

YES this happened to me esp with my last villager. KEEP PLOT RESETTING. It feels like she will never move anywhere else, but SHE WILL, I PROMISE!!! It took me a LONG time and I stopped for a bit to take breaks from the endless plot resetting

I ended up tt'ing back to the previous day (the day i asked her to move in) and placed a project in the spot she kept plotting, and placed patterns where she would sometimes plot, and it helped a ton. she ended up plotting on my second spot i had chose for her.
also, because i didn't have anymore projects to place, i created a new user, and plotted it over a bench so that i could place the project in the spot where diana kept plotting. but then i realized after i demolished that new users house, and tried plot resetting again, that the villager started plotting in the exact same spot where that user was. I wonder if that could help me in the future.. or maybe it was a coincidence that she started plotting there, idk

I think you just had a terrible luck the first few times you reset. Instead of placing PWPs, you can just probably close them with paths (and make 3x3 spaces). I moved in and out 3 villagers in succession for the past several days and I don't like where the previous ones were located so I had to plot reset the move-ins for them to change places. Luckily, I got my first one to where I wanted after the second try. Then the next, I got after the first try. Then today, the third villager kept placing her plot in the same area but after 5th try, she finally changed places (exactly to where I wanted her to be). So yeah, just need lots of patience.
