Okay, so I recently got a Super Smash Bros Link Amiibo and I used it on my game to get Wolf Link in my town.. but unfortunately, I missed a place near my house with a pattern and I foolishly went into my game as my mayor character instead of creating a new character. So now, Wolf Link is locked in right next to my house, despite the fact that I have about five perfectly good places for him to be at otherwise.

My question is: Can I make Wolf Link move out (if that's even possible without needing another amiibo to kick him out) and then get him right away again once he's gone? I really want him, but not in the place he's at.

To move him out through that method, you'd need to move someone else in to replace him unfortunately.
You could always raise your friendship with him and get him to move out that way, then re-scan him back in since the villager cycle doesn't apply to scanned villagers.

so does that mean I have to replace him with a villager I got from an amiibo/amiibo card? If that's the case, I'm out of luck because I don't have any.

Otherwise he'll move out if I raise my friendship with him like a normal villager? But not if I talk to him once (to introduce myself) and then never again?

Eeeee, no other cards or figures? Good luck.

Amiibo animals are some of the most stubborn around, and will not ask to move out normally. Ive heard that the more you have, the more frequent they'll ask to leave. Once you have 8, they'll ask as frequent as normal animals. To get an idea, I used to have 5 amiibo animals in my town. It took over a year in game for Clause to ask to move. I had FIVE. And it took a YEAR.

If you can get a hold of another figure or card, make them move out W.Link once you have 10 villagers and ONLY when you have 10 villagers. Then plot reset as normal, make a new character blah blah blah all that. They will still be stubborn and move in the same spot, but with enough luck and perseverance, they will choose another spot.

My friend is a saint and just happens to have an amiibo card for Skye, one of the amiibos I wanted! (and he only has three amiibo cards, how lucky!) So it looks like I'll be able to get Wolf Link in a better place plus add another wolf to my town! (I have 3 wolves currently, including wolf link, my goal is to one day have all the wolves I can. Currently have Lobo and Fang.)

Ah I'm glad to hear that! But yes, Stella is very right about that issue. Sorry I forgot to clarify that in my original post! So far in playing this year on my town, I haven't had any of my two scanned villagers ask to move.

In regards to ignoring him, that CAN work, it has for me in the past.
From what I've seen on here though, raising friendship seems to be more effective.
