Plot reset problem

Hey! I was just plot resetting this morning for a dreamie but I messed it up x) (It's Margie). It isn't exactly in a horrible spot but it's right behind Re-Tail and it just annoys me so much! I just wanted to ask, if she asks me to leave, do I let her leave and adopt her maybe later? (or can't I because I already had her, or because she's in my void or should I let someone adopt her?) I of course heard about the 16-villager cycle that I read about, but I just don't get it xD Thank you so much!

i she moves 16 other villagers will have to move out from your town before she can move in again. that's basically the 16 villager cycle

The 16 villager cycle is what it sounds like. Once you let a villager go, you can't adopt them until you have gone through 16 villagers since they have left. So for example, I lost Diana a few months back. I couldn't get her again until I had known that I had gone through the 16 villager cycle.
