Plot reset for 9th villager question ..

Okay, so I've been plot resetting all night for my 9th villager and sometimes when I reset there is no villager plot to be found.. Is this normal? I've never had this issue with plot resetting before but sometimes I'll reset 2-3 times and there will be no plot, but then one will show up on the 4th reset and then none on the 5th, and so on..

I also had another problem earlier where every single reset my villager plot would ALWAYS be right next to my house. If it wasn't next to my house then it was no where to be found on my map. So yet again, not sure if this is normal or there's something wrong with my game. =___=;

How long ago did you get to 8 villagers? For the ninth, the percentage of odd of them showing up/plotting increases everyday, and doesn't really hit 100% until about a week after the eighth. Your second issue just sounds like bad luck.

From my experience, it seems like with each individual new plot there are or there is a rather localized "zone" if you will where the villagers will try to plop their house down on. Sometimes I'd reset 10 times and the house was always within 2-3 blocks of the same area.

If it's an incredibly annoying thing! A small fix that I've done if they keep trying to move into the same undesirable spot has been to TT to the day before and put a PWP blocking the area so that the plot is forced to be somewhere else and I TT back to the next day. Of course, if a plot is guaranteed to show up the following day you can only get away with doing that once unless you plan ahead.
