Please help

I'm so mad right now, I just payed 1 mil for Wolfgang, and was resetting so his house would be in an ideal spot. The title screen appears and his house plot is exactly where I want it, so I load up my game and check it out. When I look it's not there, but in the opposite side of town right behind my retail. So my question is does anyone have any fast cycling methods, there are about 3-4 villagers I would like to stay in my town. But I plan on cycling out Wolfgang, then doing the 16 villager cycle and getting him back in where I would like.

the loading screen has nothing to do with what actually happens in the game plot wise (or fruit wise or villager wise when you've reset and trying to scope out a new town). your best bet is to always make a new character and save if you find no plot, or save when you have the ideal spot.

quite unfortunate about what happened though, good luck. i hope someone can help you with the cycling etc.

I think this guide might help you out: Villager Moving Rumors
It will help you figure out if anyone's moving without having to spend a lot of time searching for your villagers and trying to get pings. Just talk to one a few times to see if they mention the "rumor" (explained in the guide). I can confirm that this method is 100% reliable c:

Also remember that you can time travel as far forward as you want when no one is moving and all your villagers will stay.

If you decide you don't want to keep any of your current villagers and you just want to cycle as fast as possible, I'd suggest Karen's Foolproof Cycling Method
