please help! moving out villagers..

so i am at 10 villagers currently. before this, i was able to move out 1 villager and had another move in. after that i have never been able to get anyone to move out after time traveling every day for 2 months. i have tried both talking to them and ignoring some, but nothing works..

does anyone have any ideas what i can do? i don't have amiibo so i can't force someone out.



EDIT: so it took me two days irl to figure this out but i finally got someone to move!
moving forward never worked for me. i went back in time a couple months and was able to get someone to move out immediately. not sure if this will work every time but i hope this helps anyone who found this thread.

Almost exactly the same situation as yours. Had 1 move out before the 10 limit and now that I'm at 10 no one seems to want to move out in days. One of my theories is that I think the game may want us to finish the KK quest first? If anyone can chime in thatd be great!
