Cousteau has been in boxes for three days after asking me to move since yesterday and I've never had this happen before. I'm not sure what to do to get his plot empty so I can search for my dreamies. I will update when I get home whether he has moved or not, but if he hasn't someone who wants him is more than welcome to come adopt him.

This happened to my friend. Having someone take him fixed it as it said he "moved out." The house was gone the next day.

I have heard that having someone adopt him won't fix it in some cases, but forcing out via amiibo will. (The villager in boxes is strangely still able to be forced out by amiibo)
