I'm just curious, but I was super OCD about my plaza being in the center of my town. After a while, I actually restarted my game to get a map I liked. Anyone else feel this way?

For me, I didn't really care if it was in the center or not. I just wanted a general layout that I like. My plaza is in the center.

I didn't give a damn about the Plaza. I'm more concerned with how the placement of Re-Tail, Main Street, and Town Hall line up because I'll be using them the most. XD hahaha

Tbh when I started playing I didn't know what the buildings represented (This is my first real AC game that I developed an interest) I chose a map that looked good and the buildings were in decent spots D:

Every map I've ever had, the plaza was in the top left corner

I've tried to like the plaza being in the center, but I just can't for whatever reason. I like it with the waterfall behind it.

my plaza is in the center, didn't spend too long resetting for it
only like 20 minutes or so
I reset mostly for the river layout, but then once I actually started playing the game I realized that I hate my river layout

Most everything in my town is concentrated in the northwest corner. It's a little inconvenient, but I have a good amount of room for community projects.

No, I really didn't care where my plaza or other buildings were placed. I was more obsessed about the village name I picked which did lead to six restarts.

I went with the opposite and picked a town with the plaza as out of the way as possible. Mostly beacause I wanted some wide open spaces for project planning and it takes up so much room. And also because I personally think a giant tiled patch that you can't do anything with 95% of the year looks ugly in the middle of a serene green town. And I'm not a fan of putting patterns and paths down because of the inevitable square edge they come with. (can't we get an invisible colour for our patterns?!)

I get so jelly when I see a perfectly centered plaza in a town ;_; I ran out of patience resetting my town for a nice layout that I became less picky about its placement. I'm kind of a perfectionist, so no matter what something always ends up bugging me xD

My plaza is directly in front of Town Hall, perfectly centered mind you, with a little bit of space in between the two. At first I thought it was really neat because it reminded me of past AC games where events took place at Town Hall. However, now I realize I'm a bit limited in terms of decorating that area of town :( It seems the majority of people place their fountain in front of Town Hall, with flowers/other public work projects/etc. so obviously I missed out on that. It's beginning to grow on me though. With some nice paths and things it's not so bad~ Plus, since Town Hall and the plaza are so close to each other, that saves a lot of space elsewhere in town :D

Honestly, I didn't really care about the position of the plaza on the map. I did, however, care about its location relative to the other buildings in the town, namely Re-Tail and the town hall. I wanted these three to be all within close proximity to each other, with enough space close-by for the cafe and the police station later down the line.

I have it in the center in my town, very symmetrical layout, and at first I thought it was amazing, but now I have realized that it is taking up a lot of space, since it's basically the only thing on that part of my town... and it isn't used much either.... So I don't know..

I cared more about the beaches (didn't want a little part that couldn't be reached without a wetsuit) and town fruit than about the plaza placement, but it ended up being almost perfectly in front of my town hall in the map I chose, which I really like.

I didn't really care about what map I chose in the beginning to be honest. My plaza is at the bottom right and I like it that way. :)

I just wanted my buildings to be near the train station, which they are. My plaza is south of Re-tail and my Cafe, and East of Town Hall and my house. It's all on one side of the river and kind of in one corner, and I really like it that way. The rest of the town is mostly homes and my orchard and public works projects at this point, and I really like it.
