Diehard Ac fan here, So I started playing animal crossing back in the day on GC In 2003 I think, since then I had played that off an on for 10 years. Took a break from gaming for a while but jumped back into it this past year. I currently am playing new leaf and absolutely love it, I’m wondering if you guys feel it’s worth starting wild world as well. I’m not looking for anything groundbreaking from wild world and I know new leaf is the superior game. But like all animal crossing games I believe it has its own charm and it’s own unique traits. On new leaf I have amiibos so I have all of my favorite villagers, it would be neat on wild world to just play casually and see what villagers move in and out of my town and getting to know ones I wouldn’t traditionally want. So I wanna hear from all of you, is it worth playing alongside? do it’s little unique traits justify it? What do you think!

Playing wild world alongside new leaf, is it worth it.

Around two years ago I was playing both Wild World and New Leaf. If you still feel you've new things to experience in both or one, I feel it's worth it. Beforehand I hadn't played much of Wild World, so it was fun experiencing new things. I also had the time to give it more attention since I was mostly finished with New Leaf at that point.
That’s what I’m thinking, I feel like it’s going to have little things in it that make me love it in its own way, and meet a ton of new villages I won’t in new leaf due to my village being full of people I love, so I’m definitely looking forward to grabbing wild world to play on the side 
I definitely agree that all the previous games have a special charm the new ones can't match, and that's okay, because that's what makes the series as a whole special and so worth playing. Wild World was great! The holidays especially, and the constellations were real standouts to me. I'd say give it a go~

Def worth it! I'm playing Wild World myself right now, alongside New Horizons and AC:GCN. It's kinda empty feeling compared to the other games but it still has its own charm!
Wild world in my eyes is my favourite because I got it when it came out when I was only small! I went back and played it when I couldn't afford new leaf and it's just as good experience as all of them I think, so I'd deffo say yes do it!
I'm playing both games on and off right now. I still really like Wild World as it was my first AC game and I have fond memories of it. What I like best about it is that there's absolutely no pressure. There's not much you can control, which makes it so nice and relaxing compared to the newer games imo. I started a new game recently and it really takes me back. The events, the music, the dialogue, the cafe being in the museum (I really miss that somehow), the observatory... If you have a copy I'd say give it a go^^
I just ordered a copy on eBay last night! Can’t wait to have it as part of the collection and to play it alongside new leaf! I really appreciate all the responses, Wild world seems to hold a place in many hardcore AC fans hearts. I’m looking forward to playing it!
Wild World was my first AC game and the one I played for the longest so I'm biased but I loved it! And the dialogue was much better than both New Leaf and New Horizons imo. They really limited and neutralized the dialogue in later games, to the point that a snooty just sounds like a rich normal.
