Pokémon Playing Pokémon B/W 2 together

Part 7 officially started this morning. As soon as morning hit I continued my challenge. I made it all the way through Spooky House, Reversal Mountain, Undella Town, Route 14, Route 13, Lacunosa Town, Route 12, Village Bridge, Route 11, and into Opelucid City, also completing Route 9. I challenged the Opelucid City Gym, made it all the way to the top of the dragon pyramid, and...

My entire six Pokemon team of Electric types got obliterated and all killed by Drayden's Druddigon, Flygon, and Haxorus. I had to retry and the second time I beat him, but only thanks to spamming Hyper Beam from all of my mon's as his dragon Pokemon kept ripping their heads off.

Well, the nuzlocke part of the challenge is over for me, but I'm going to continue to do the challenge as a regular Electric Mono-Type run of B2. Here is my updated team after beating Drayden on my second try:

So I just learnt that Sigilyph can learn Charge Beam. Fascinating.

Anyhow, I am really not looking forward to grinding. I kind of decided to rush ahead and take on Skyla, but that left Ionia, Tippi and Vanity kind of underlevelled.

EDIT: Actually, everyone's caught up now. It wasn't that bad, surprisingly- especially considering that I was doing most of my grinding in Reversal Mountain.

Also: congrats on being victorious when you fought him again, Ryu! Glad you're able to stick with that team for the rest of the game?

You know- just a general comment, but I honestly thought that Drayden's gym would have been more suited as the eighth rather than Marlon's- both due to that awesome music in the formers and the fact that both the gym leader and the trainers in the gym are tough to take out.

But yes. I defeated Drayden. At the moment, my team is:

542.png
Sona- Male- Level 46
Naive nature- Quick to flee
Swarm
Return/Swords Dance/X-Scissor/Leaf Blade

184.png
Duster- Male- Level 47
Holding Mystic Water
Adamant nature- Somewhat of a clown
Huge Power
Return/Aqua Tail/Work Up/Dig

462.png
FL047.exe- Genderless- Level 47
Naive nature- Alert to sounds
Sturdy
Thunder Wave/Supersonic/Electro Ball/Flash Cannon (Believe me, that TW/SS combo really helped me against Drayden.)

561.png
Ionia- Female- Level 46
Hasty nature- Sturdy body
Magic Guard
Air Slash/Tailwind/Shadow Ball/Psychic

637.png
Tippi- Female- Level 46
Holding Rocky Helmet
Mild nature- Highly persistent
Flame Body
Will-O-Wisp/Psychic/Ember/Gust (it was better than Acrobatics)

335.png
Vanity- Female- Level 46
Lonely nature- Very finicky
Immunity
Swords Dance/Return/Shadow Claw/X-Scissor

I decided to go ahead and do Team Plasma's part in Opelucid City, and then I went through the Marine Tube and beat the Humilau City Gym. I just remembered guys that Marlon is literally almost right after Drayden with little to no content inbetween, so I'm going to go ahead and change the days rule for now. Parts 6, 7, and 8 will be lumped together and anyone can go as far as they want, but not past defeating Marlon until Saturday. This will give time for people to catch up as well as train their teams. Marlon MUST be defeated by Saturday at 11:59 PM your own time zones by everyone whose participating. Once I've seen that everyone has defeated Marlon, we'll all start Part 9 and that will start Sunday morning of next week and last all week. :)

@Earth Wolf-Howl: Yes, I am sticking with the team I have above. I am editing it now to update my team from right after beating Marlon.

Also yes, I agree that Drayden should of been the 8th gym leader. He could totally own Marlon in a Pokemon battle. :)

Woah is drayden really that tough i dont remember since i its been awhile lol! time to get grinding

Sounds awesome. I'm kind of excited to get back to playing. I've started to have a lot more fun with White 2 than when I first played it.

Looking forward to seeing how it progresses.

I can definitely agree with that. There's not a time when I haven't had a bit of trouble with Drayden, whereas Marlon is completely destroyed by anything super effective to the Water type. It's really quite anticlimactic.

Yeah, IMO Marlon is a pushover and Drayden is strong as helk

Also, finished updating my team above. :)

Yeah... still, at least Drayden is late enough in the game to still be climactic.

I've started on the next part.

Yeah, at leas they only bumped him down one spot, lol

And cool, are you going to audino train your Pokemon first or just jump right into the Humilau Gym?? I just jumped right in, but that's because I had a huge advantage over all the trainers there including Marlon and none of my Pokemon fainted in the gym, even when facing Marlon. :)

I'm probably going to Audino train a little bit. I have specific levels I like to be before taking on the gym. Unless I get to level 50 with my entire team before reaching Humilau, I'll feel the need to grind.

It's probably not the best system, but it's one that makes me feel comfortable.

Okay, I'm probably going to be grinding my Pokemon team to level 50 too, just so it's ready for Part 9 next week. :)

If I may complain here... I hate how Volcarona's moveset is so horribly limited. Even TMs aren't a good alternative- any that could work for it are found far too late in the game...

teach it giga drain froma move tutor?

I'd love to, but I don't have enough Shards to do so- and even so, I really don't want to got back to the PWT or Reversal Mountain to grind for them.

I suppose it could be worse. I taught it Fire Blast, and it knows Silver Wind now. That's better than Gust and Ember.

Yeah, and another bad thing about Volcarona is that it doesn't learn very good moves till very late levels. :/
