Pokémon Playing Pokémon B/W 2 together

Also, I beat Burgh last night. I just forgot to report it. I swear that the randomizer likes making the gym leaders a pushover, as he had a Sentret, Ratatta, and a Swalot.

Hopefully. (While I was training last night, I found out that Mesprit likes to visit the Castelia Gardens)

I beat Elesa today at around 2:00 AM USA CST. It was me, an Electric type trainer, against Elesa, another Electric type trainer. My Pokemon were stronger though. I also did the little Team Plasma bit where Hugh tells about his haunted past afterwards and nothing past that. Here's my updated team for my Mono-Type Electric Type Nuzlocke Challenge:

Pokemon 3: Level 33 Emolga (Squirrely) [Electric/Flying Type]

Docile nature: Often lost in thought

Held Item: BrightPowder

Ability: Static (Contact with the Pokemon may cause paralysis)

Volt Switch/Pursuit/Cut/Acrobatics

@Earth Wolf-Howl: In case you were wondering, no. I'm not doing challenge mode, just normal/easy mode. I just happened to Audino train the crap out of my Pokemon as well as use that breeder in Lostlorn's Forest's Tranquill and Liepard to make my Pokemon strong af. They'll be even stronger by the time I face Clay, which is going to be the toughest part of the run for me. Elesa was a pushover though. It started by my Ampharos facing her Emolga. Before her Emolga had the chance to do anything, Ampharos delivered a critical hit ThunderPunch that OHKO'ed it. After that I switched out to Magneton and KO'ed her Flaaffy as well as did some damage to her Zebstrika using its SonicBoom attack repetitively, as they kept switching out with Volt Switches that barely did anything to Magneton. Finally, I pitted my newly trained Emolga against her Zebstrika in the end with its health in the orange and killed it with a critical hit Cut. My Pokemon barely even took any damage, in fact Magneton was the only one that needed to be healed afterwards, and only by a little bit at that.

Just letting everyone know, Part 4 ends on Saturday at 11:59 P.M.! Elesa MUST be defeated by then, and after that Part 5 all the way to defeating Clay will start on Sunday morning and go all the way to Tuesday at 11:59 PM of next week. :D

@Pokedude: That's pretty awesome! Was it your catch, or just a random Pokemon?

@Ryu: That makes a lot of sense. I'm just so used to seeing teams around level 25 and so forth around that part that seeing yours at level 30 kind of startled me.

Congrats on defeating Elesa, though!

Thanks! I am currently spamming the Battle Subway for BP points seeing how far my team can get each time. Of course I don't get very far each time seeing as we share a lot of weaknesses, but it's still a fun way to pass the time before it's time for Part 5 :) Also I'm going to try and purchase some of the rarer items with BP for my Pokemon.

So, who is going to be your sixth Pokemon?? Also, are you going to evolve your Magneton in Chargestone Cave once we get there (I'm not :P)?

I'm personally just playing through Platinum on the side while I wait.

My sixth Pokemon is most likely going to be Volcarona. I've never used one before, and I'd like to. And yes, I'll be evolving my Magneton. I prefer Magnezone to it.

I beat Elesa today, woohoo. Although I did rush through Nimbasa City to do so - I'll be going to do all there is in the city and the route next to it later. I did catch a Sandslash and train it to level 25 although that wasn't too essential thanks to Leafeon learning Dig and Lucario learning Rock Tomb. They weren't as efficient as Sandslash could have been but I've decided not to have Sandslash in my final team and the experience is better off going to my team members.

Emolga was harder to take down than I expected and there were many Volt Switches going on which was slightly annoying.

My team now consists of:
-Dewott
-Leafeon
-Lucario

All around level 25-27. I've also remembered that I want to catch that Skill Link Minccino (was it a Cinccino?) because that could be quite fun to use. Although my current team is pretty well prepared against Clay, I just need to level up a bit.

Hmm, hearing about your decisions makes me want to evolve my Magneton. I've changed my mind. I'm going to evolve my Magneton into a Magnezone in Chargestone Cave since you are. :D

@Klave: Yeah, your team looks really well prepared for Clay. Lucario can take care of Krokorok and Excadrill easily, while Dewott is good against all three of them, and Leafeon is good against Krokorok and Sandslash. Your team is definitely ready for him, just need to level each of your Pokemon more which you will. My team however is going to have a tough time facing Clay, but I'm sure I'll make it through somehow. Who knows, if the game lets me go inside Chargestone Cave before facing Clay I can just go ahead and evolve Magneton as well as catch a Tynamo which isn't weak to anything. :)

Does anyone know how far through Route 6 and Chargestone Cave it lets you go before it stops you if you haven't beat Clay yet?

You can't progress past the first Bridge in the cave until you participate in the PWT.

For reference:

The Circle w/ he slash is as far as you can go.

Thanks for the info!

I am going to be moving ahead and afterwards backtracking to catch a Tynamo to help take on Clay once Part 5 starts. :P

I want to put Amphaors for sure on the team, and maybe quilava. Who would you guys replace?

The current team is:

Shady (prinplup)
Dwayne (Golem)

I'd get rid of either Shady, your Prinplup, Leonardo, your Carracosta, or Borealis, your Dewgong and replace 2 out of 3 of those with Ampharos and Quilava, seeing as you don't need 3 water types. It will also help balance out your team a lot more. ;)
