Playing Cartridge and Downloaded Game?

Does anyone happen to know if its okay to play a cartridged ACNL game on a 3ds that has the downloaded version as well?

yes it's ok! you can still play with a cartridge if you already have a acnl downloaded.

It most definitely is! I have a digital copy and a physical copy on the same system and play them both daily

I only have digital and cartridge versions in my JP side, but yeah, like everyone else said it works just fine, only drawback is that the system will add them together in your play data, so you won't know how long you played either though.
