Do you guys give your players lore? I do. Basically I have 3 players - one mayor two alts, and am gonna add a third alt soon, and I don't want them to all feel the same when playing and decorating their house and stuff so I gave them each their own personality, goals and house decoration style so I could avoid this. Here's my characters!

Tinymoon (mayor):
- very active and hardworking, plays multiple times a day
- does all the work around town but is never thanked for it - always breeding flowers, placing paths and building PWPs
- loves to chat to and befriend villagers
- massive hoarder, because she collects so many items
- has a fully furnished house with a kitchen, living room, bathroom, garden, study and bedroom

Skid (alt 1)
- not as helpful as Tinymoon but still tries to do some work
- likes to wander around and appreciate the scenery
- a bit shy when talking to villagers
- rents out his house to other people (mainly gyroids)

Annalisa (alt 2)
- rarely ever seen in town, and when she is seen she's probably grinding for money
- she's from some European country and speaks with an accent - people suspect her disappearances are when she's abroad
- Insanely rich. Like she has many many millions of bells in her account
- Converted her house into a large department store. Despite being located in a remote town it has many customers (once again mainly gyroids)

I'd love to hear you guys's lore if you have any! Or if not, what your play-styles are like!
 
I do something like that as well. In my main town, Sakura, the mayor is basically an idealized version of myself. She is very friendly with all the animals in town, helpful and does all of the work around town. The main floor of her house is more like a public house where she entertains the villagers with the upstairs being her bedroom and the basement being her private sanctuary. Her hobby is writing. I have one alt in Sakura who is a farmer. He is quiet and keeps to himself. His house is on the small side and not nearly as extravagant as the mayor's house. He loves to read and has some pet crickets.

In my second town, Nocturne, I've actually created a unique story line but it's still very much a work in progress. The town itself has a Victorian Gothic theme. The mayor, Amethyst, moved to town and found happiness. She got married and had a child until an accident took both her partner and her child from her. After the accident, Amethyst becomes a recluse and her sister, Azure, moves to town to help her out. Amethyst's house is going to be fancy and purple with a child's room that she has left untouched and an alchemy lab in the basement where she is desperately trying to find a way to bring her loved ones back. Azure's house is going to be mainly a public house with a gallery, music room, lounge and public bath. Her office will be upstairs and her bedroom will be in the basement. The way I'm currently playing the game, I'm building up Amethyst's home so I'm still pretending that she's in the early stages of the story and she is interacting with all of the villagers and being very helpful. Once I have her home and the town completed, I'll create Azure and basically retire Amethyst and build up Azure's house from there.

This is so so cool! I love how you've created an entire storyline for your town! And all their personalities seem so sweet and fit well with the gameplay of the game. Now I kinda wanna create a storyline for my town :0
