Planting other perfect fruits in your town?

Is it true that if I'm given perfect fruit that are not my native from a friend's town,
they'll only grown normal fruit?

If so, how can I have perfect trees of fruits other than native?

Yes, that's true. You'll just have to use the perfect fruit you have wisely.

You can't get non native perfect fruit trees in your town. I only use them when villagers request fruit anyways

You should keep as many as you can in your inventory. When villagers ask for any kind of perfect fruit, they respond better (apparently) to perfect fruit that is not native. Also, if they ask for the specific kind of fruit, they'll like it being perfect. It helps you get their pictures faster!
