At dinnertime, I spoke to my grandpa about college. I told him about wanting to go to colleges that were far away. One was in another city, and was around a 3 hour drive. The other was in another state. My grandpa reacted... rationally. He didn't burst into fits of hysterics or criticized me, or saying that I could never make it. What he did say was that he was worried for me going far away, especially out of state... however, he also said that if I wanted to go, then it's my choice. He just warned me about the financial cost of things, as well as being further away from the family and how it'll take longer to travel. He was supportive. He said that it was my choice. I'm so glad he's not a narcissist like my mother. He gave me a couple hundred dollars so that I could apply for some colleges and whatnot. I'm so glad for him to react that way.
