Place your random thoughts.

From just the first few sets, Pokémon looks like something that would translate well into Lego.

Making the starter Pokémon set bigger than the Lego Death Star - sounds like they put a lot of thought into it.

I knew there was a "leader board" on TBT for the most bells/other currency, but I didn't realise there was one for most posts and most trades, too. Weird what you find while looking for something else

Today was my grandparents' 70th wedding anniversary. We had cake and they talked about how they met. I saw a statistic claim that only 0.1% of marriages last long, but I'm not sure if that's true. Regardless, they definitely have had a much longer marriage than most.

that’s interesting because it would have been my grandparents’ 60th anniversary on friday. i read that a lot of marriages last 19 - 21 years and end due to either divorce or death.

I wonder if there is a leader board for most seashells? It should be "one" across the board, or a slightly higher number?

What are seashells even for? I have yet to figure that out

I just learned that crunchy granola bars can explode into tiny pieces all over the place when unwrapping one.

Note to self... be gentle with granola bars.

I'm afraid Jeremy is the hoarder of the Seashells! Everyone else can have a maximum of 20! 🐚 You get 10 Seashells when you join, and another 10 Seashells after being a member for two years. 😊

As for what seashells do, you can use them to buy specific items from the Shop:
  • Username change - 10 Seashells
  • Avatar animation (allows you to upload GIFs for your profile picture) - 10 Seashells
  • User Title Color Change (change the text colour under your username; e.g. mine is blue) - 2 Seashells (per colour)

Since I joined back in the days when Welcome Bells used to be a thing, I only got 10 seashells maximum throughout my entire membership.

Do you remember how many Welcome Bells were given to new members?
At the time I joined, around 600 TBT. It used to be around 900 TBT in 2013 and 400 TBT not too long before they removed the system altogether.

The advantage of Welcome Bells - you could buy collectibles upon entry, something you couldn’t do with seashells.

It was always 800.

I don't know what normal people do when they wake-up in the middle of the night. But for the past few months I've woken up at 2am consistently and I spend the time until I feel sleepy again reading about history. I think I'm more an expert in history than the degrees I studied. 😂

I wish I were that productive. I read about unsolved murders/kidnappings from like the 70s.

One of the wonders of being a writer and a reader. You can wound up subconsciously mimicking one of your favorite authors (or the books you read) writing styles/prose.

Some of my stuff used to be more on the flowery side, now it seems to be fading. I must pick up a poetry book or read stuff that isn't going nuts on the sensory detail!

what if elderly people with no family die. what happens? (I assume charity?) but what if they live in the middle of nowhere and nobody knows?

my snail is a ball of energy.

have to keep the top of the aquarium covered upon realizing he can and will climb to the top.

he also climbs into any decorations he can find. (plants, the small house, the barrel).

I never knew snails could even have a ton of energy, aren't they slow? unless your snail is mutated or something haha

Kinda reminds me of that episode of SpongeBob where Gary climbed a tree because he didn’t want to take a bath. 😂
