Lol... I'm at the edge hahaOk, owl...I'm done.
I'm really confused about the anti-snipe bit.
Snipe bidding is bidding in the last 5 or less minutes of an auction---the point where no one can make a bid anymore, which is why it's called snipe bidding in the first place.
You're free to run it how you wish, of course, but it's very confusing.
ah whattt? i understood that snipe guards are in place to prevent people from doing that exact thing? like ive set it to half an hour so if anyone bids within that half hour its extended that amount?
idk i read a tutorial thing on deviantart a while ago maybe i read it wrong i suck lmfao

OHHH yeah ok, i set it to 30 because the forums arent extremely fast past and 5 minutes isn't a lot in a slow paced enviroment~I've just never heard of a snipe guard being in effect within 30 minutes of the end, that's all. I thought they always went into effect about five minutes before it was over, because that's the point where if someone wanted to bid again, they might not be fast enough before the end. Whereas if someone bids with 30 minutes still left, it's very easy to get another bid in within a half hour.
That's just my POV, though! I didn't read any tutorials when I did mine. I'm just going by what I've seen others here do and what I did myself. If this is the comfortable route for you, that's fine too. I just couldn't understand why 30 minutes left was considered a snipe bid.

And good luck, Poppet!
I remember seeing one on DA and tumblr since someone linked to their pages. Think Lilliee posted someone's link about it on her auction... I think...
Ohhh, yeah, I could definitely see why people would do it on DA. It's not a forum quite like this, so there's no bumping of topics back to the top to give you a heads up when someone has bid. Plus DA is really slow in comparison. The person would just have to keep refreshing the person's art page every so often. I've never taken part in an auction there, but it looks stressful. lol
...I honestly had no idea tumblr auctions were a thing, though. XD I learned something new today!
