So I only want PWPs from the jock and lazy personalities. So for jock I have Jitters and lazy I have Stitches.

How do I only get them to ping? Or make it more likely for them to ping? Whenever I play, my other villagers get in the way. .______.

There's no way to make it so that only certain villagers ping you. You just have to be patient. In my experience, they always suggest PWPs when I least expect it.

Some people dig holes around the villagers they want to ping so that they can't move far away from where they are. This doesn't mean they'll ping you, though, but at least they can't move so you know where they are.

Use the diving trick.
Go into the sea with your wetsuit, wait 5 min, and the first villager that sees you should ping. And repeat, don't worry if they sometimes don't ping.

As the person above said, dig holes around them but give them space to walk around.

I always felt too guilty to dig holes and trap my villagers, so I just had to ninja-sneak around my town in search of the desired villager. I usually managed it, but sometimes I'd run smack into someone else. So frustrating, haha.

lmao sometimes i do that, its quite fun actually

I tried the diving trick one time and the villagers were blocking the bridges. Peewee was on the other side staring at Gracie and refused to move. After awhile I gave up when I got a PWP from another villager. It was my last fashion check and didn't want to do it over again. Plus I didn't want to break up Peewees crush.

I've had the same problem before. I needed only Jock and Peppy PWPs and only had Kid Cat and Cookie in my town. To maximize the chance, keep reloading your game until both of the desired villagers are outside. As previously mentioned, digging holes around all your villagers helps. Unfortunately, there's no way to stop other villagers from pinging. I'd also recommend diving for 5 minutes. Just make sure you talk to your villagers once in a while because they won't ping you at all if you've been playing for an hour straight, they'll just say something like "You look tired, why don't you take a break?" It also helps to fill your pockets with 100 bells in each spot and dropping the rest of your money so they won't ask you to buy something or try to sell something to you.

You can do the diving trick and try to block off those villagers so they're the first ones you see after leaving the beach. That's it, because otherwise you can get pinged by any villager.

It's a bit risky, but I've used this TT method a few times when I was looking for bridge requests, and did not had a problem. But you must be very careful!

First, wait until a villager pings you to move and then say "no". Then TT forward 8 days. None of the villagers will ping you now since they will be locked in the "where have you been!" conversation, and that requires you to initiate conversation with them first. Find the villager/s who you want to ping you and initiate the "where have you been!" conversation, and then save and reload the game. Now your villager will be the only one who can ping you. Make sure your pockets are full with flowers or shells. If the first ping is not a PWP, use the diving method or close the game without saving and try again. Make sure to stay in the same day. If you move forward any more days, a villager will be in boxes.

Once you get your PWP ping, it's imperative to talk to all the villagers, first to initiate the "where have you been!" conversation, and then to find out who is moving. I have found from tons of cycling that 8 days is the maximum you can go before another villager is in boxes. It is a little scary to use this method, but I was able to get my bridge requests and didn't lose any villagers. :)

Why didn't I think of that!? So say I only talk to Stitches and Jitters and the other eight villagers have that "where have you been?" convo. Can I keep going to the ocean and having just those two pinging back and forth til I get a PWP?

Yes, that's the idea. I only ever did it with one villager to ping me, but two should work as well. It's still kind of random whether they will ping you with a PWP right away or not. Once, I had it happen fairly quickly. Another time it took an annoying number of tries. Also be aware that your villager might be on Main Street if you can't find them. It's safe to TT to an earlier or later time in the day until you can find them, just make sure not to leave that day. Good Luck!

As others have said, it's randomized as to who pings you. However, the amount of villagers you have for a personality can definitely raise your chances of getting PWPs of that type. Unfortunately though, the pings aren't always for PWPs, so it does take time.

However, if you don't/can't end up getting more jocks or lazys, that's fine. I remember I was able to get all of the cranky PWPs with only one cranky villager, and pretty fast too. So it seems to be mainly based on luck. It could've been the method I was using though too.

Try doing the PWP trick really early or really late, depending on when your fav villagers are awake and the others asleep.

trap the villagers you want to ping and run in front of them once every 5-10 minutes. don't think there's any way to make others not ping, but try to avoid them so you only meet the ones you want.
